Protea Hotel Lusaka International Airport

Pretty average.

Breakfast was average - clearly a restock of items was due as the cheeses were dry, old and moldy. This was our experience on Monday 19th January 2026.

Close proximity to airport and city centre. Complimentary shuttle to and from the airport at guests convenience.

Dirty.. have not seen a dirtier lobby than this.

Our stay was very good , very confortable and elegant rooms, the rooms are modern and very clean , calm with a nice view with sunrise early in the morning.Employees very friendly and professional.Breakfast was very very super , nice buffer with a lot of choice and very tasty.SUPER.

From restaurant was missing good experience from waiter and many times salt and pepper empty or missing or broken ...the Maitre d hotel did very good service , but the waiter assistant not professionnal..for a this hotel it is a pity.More control could be good , and many products from Bar were missing , alcools, juices, smoothies..or fresh minth for Morijto ..no possible..Important to respect the products from the Card of Bar and Restaurant .Thank you.

Great location for overnight at airport to catch next morning early flight!

Pricey and shuttle never meets you at arrival but close and safe enough to walk

Fantastic breakfast and good rrom.

The pool was a problem. No really safe way to get in and out. Many sharp edges and no idea how deep it was.

A hairdryer would be useful, there was only decaf coffee in my room.

Beautifully presented hotel, in perfect location a five mins walk from the airport building. Excellent facilities including gym and pool. Friendly and obliging staff. Very well presented and equipped rooms. Very comfortable bed, decent WiFi and water pressure. Additionally a free shuttle bus service between the hotel and airport terminals.

It's a very beautiful place. Love everything about it. Definitely would recommend staying there.

Imagine after settling the bill early because I had an early flight to catch, and this person walked up to me when i was checking out saying I needed to pay a touristim levy, I was like really? Why didn't you put in on the invoice? Anyway, my point is to make sure you check for these things.

Floor tiles are slippery and very dangerous

Excellent location at the airport and avoid traffic into Lusaka . Great professional staff. Just make sure to organise collection from airport before you travel .
