    Pros +

    • Unique experience. A wonderful option for those tired with chain hotels. This feels like home. You should understand that it comes with no room service.
    • The arrival instructions were clear. The room was small-ish but enough for a short stay. There was no hairdryer. Breakfast was simple and meat-free. Especially oat porridge was lovely. The b&b has common spaces on both levels. Hopefully, in the future there will be a garden with places to sit.The town center is accessible by the electric scooter network, which is convenient. There is a bike path.
    • A genuine place with a super cool vibe. Love the interior and the decorations. Gave me a sort of twin peaks - vibe, which in my opinion is something to be proud of! It was clean and pretty quiet which was nice for us as a family with a child. I

    Cons -

    • Quiet, unique, easy-going experience.
    • Unfortunately, the upstairs kitchen has no soundproofing, and you can hear normal-level conversations very clearly. Guests should not be allowed to use this space after 10 pm, but they did on both nights we were there. While this did not bother me personally, you might want to be prepared.
    • It was strange to never meet any staff or the owner… a lot of the information was just in Finnish, there should be additional in English! We never really understood if the cafe was part of the hotel or not, and it was difficult to ask anybody.

    Good and clean facilities.

Breakfast started at 8, I didn't have time to wait for it.

Very original setup, accommodation was well maintained. We managed to get tickets to a great theatrical piece at the cafe next door. Morning swim from cafe’s pier follower by includud breakfast topped off the stay

Surrounding area is a bit rough/industrial

Beautiful old harbor house - a bit outside Kokkola - so very quiet (at least in the winter). Pizza bakery nearby. Sauna available with dive in the digged hole in the ice! Would love to come back in the summer!!! ☀️Nearby (neighbor) café must be great in the summer too!

Self service check is ok - but old fashioned welcome by a host would be the best! Maybe I can apply for a job?

The person who decorated this charming old house has impeccable taste. It was stunning and filled with an interesting history. we had a lovely stay.

I think you may need a car to stay here. There was nothing not to like

It was a quick booking. I had my checking after 30minutes of booking close to midnight. But the staff was reachable and arranged me everything for my confort

Quiet, clean, infornal, home feeling. Easy to find.

Quite small room, no space to put clothes or bags. Bed was extra soft. We got a room with a separate entrance, so to access kitchenette equipments or breakfast room we needed to go to the main house.
