Location was excellent, friendly staff, great facilities

The location was spectacular, and the food at Skye Bistro was fantastic. Those were my favourite parts. The service at Skye Bistro was also great.

I booked a superior room. The room wasnt up to standard. The bathroom and shower - I had received better 3-4 star conditions in other establishments. There was no hair conditioner in the bathroom, which I would expect from such an expensive establishment. I feel it was ok, just definitely not worth the high cost.Furthermore, I had a 90 minute massage. The quality was subpar and not a single person asked me how my session was. Its just definitely not the standard I would expect at such an expensive 5 star hotel.

The hot water taps in both rooms stuck halfway when closing them. It required effort to get beyond that point to turn the water off. It caused concern that the water could not be turned off and caused the shower water to be hot.

We love Fordoun, the staff are great and the location is beautiful

The only problem we had was that none of us could figure out how to lock the door from the outside, so every time we left we had to take our valuables with us.

even in a room that was not the best in the hotel( I have already been at this hotel in a top suite), I found the room excelent and with all the practical things of a suite.

the fish ( a kind of salmon from South Africa very badly cooked, the recipe was horrible.

The nature and the spa.Quietness, and the food was great.

Just need more fans close to the food for the flies.The only downfall was that we had to walk a few times in the rain with our luggage. They do have a golf cart, but it rain too hard, and the seats were wet.They can also make sure that the outside furniture at your veranda are cleanWe had to clean it before we could use the chairs.

Scenic, relaxing environment. Hydrangeas in full bloom. Friendly staff all around.

Not dire however the carpets in the rooms require attention.

The self catering unit was fully equipped. We loved the two en suite bathrooms and also the ceramic fireplace made our stay lovely and cozy. Despite it being January it was rainy and chillers.

The staff was friendly and inviting. The hotel is beautiful, and the surroundings are so peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tubs, steam room, and indoor pool. Our dining experience was excellent, and our service was superb. We would love to return to this lovely establishment!
