    • Rooms very coldThere was no extra blankets
    • The rooms are small and overpriced for what they are. For R3.3k there should be bath sheets

    Great breakfast. Clean comfortable rooms.

Some of the grounds are still being worked on or need some pruning.

    Comfortable

The aircon wasn’t working so i had to request a heater. I recommend they add rugs on the floor to add a bit of warmth. Room 309.

    Breakfast was satisfactory.

Dinner was a disappointment.Rooms were too small and crowded, bathrooms were exceptionally small.

Food was great, staff were great, room was lovely

We had no hot water in our room. Considering it was a very cold weekend showering in cold water 2 nights in a row was not great. So once we were up we left to go home early instead of staying longer. We did ask for someone to look into the hot water and they did but then the same issue happened straight after again with no help. Not comfortable at all to shower in cold water in Nottingham road in the cold weather. Disappointing as it was our first stay with you and expected so much more.

The location, meal options, comfort. Layout of the gardens. Close to freeway.

Some staff members. Wider variety of healthy foods. Bush outside rooms. Couldn't relax outside room.

    Dinner -10 out of 10. Breakfast 8 out of10

The rooms were too small. No airconditioner, wifi had issues.

Beautiful hotel with exquisite gardens. The hotel entrance was beautifully decorated. Stunning views from the restaurant, enjoyed breakfast with a view. Loved the walks around the estate. Would love to come back on a hot sunny day

The hotel room was rather disappointing for such a beautiful establishment. The shower water was splashing everywhere and was fluctuating between hot and extremely cold and would stay cold for long, I ended up leaving without being done. The gardens outside the rooms were not well maintaned/cleaned and on the entrance side there was cat poop at the entrace close to our doorstep.Breakfast was average, on two occassions, there were flies and insects around the fruit station, I called the waiter and she told me there was nothing they could do about it.

Self-catering Chalet. No time to visit Spa.Wildlife was pleasant - buck; Zebra etc.

No aircon, certainly no working aircon.Minor maintenance issues. Certain interior doors and sliding doors did not lock.Asked for a cot for the 1-year-old which was not supplied. We did not follow up on why not.

The restaurants, food, grounds, service and staff were absolutely amazing. We loved the walk around the estate, well-marked and well kept. The gardens are beautiful and a stunning view from the restaurants.

The room was a bit dated, and small, and the bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom very small and water sprayed everywhere from the shower. A little too much road noise. A few more fountains may help to block out the noise.

    10JanePosted on: 4-4-2025

An outstanding location with beautiful gardens and walks around the grounds. The "casual dining" is more like a high end restaurant. The staff were very helpful and attentive.

    8NishaalPosted on: 4-2-2025

The jacuzzi overlooking the fields was the highlight. The cottage was well equipped, spacious and well laid out. There was plenty of room and the furnishings were good. The beds however seemed dated and needs to be upgraded. The linen was amazing.

As vegertarians, the restaurant meals were not up to standard. They were too expensive for what was delivered. There was not much to do at the venue. There was lot's of stuff to do around Nottingham road.

    9TholaPosted on: 3-31-2025

Garden was breath taking, fresh and relaxing

we called reception to come and help us with jaccuzi they never came.Till we decided to come out

    4AntoinettePosted on: 3-26-2025

The gardens are pretty and the grounds are well taken care of.

The rooms do not meet expectations of a 4 star hotel, linen on the beds are scratchy, there is no aircon only a very noisy fan, the bathroom is very small. The staff have a general lack of care and concern for the guests experience, which is totally the opposite of what we've experienced at other midlands properties. There is no cosy home away from home feeling here. This property hosts weddings that play very loud music until the early hours of the morning which you can hear from the rooms. If you aren't attending the wedding I would not suggest staying here. This property also allows other guests to carry firearms in public which we were confronted with and made to feel very unwelcome and intimidated. The whole vibe of this property is off and I don't understand all the wonderful reviews at all. We checked out a day early opting to cut our long weekend short, the staff at reception didn't seem to care either way.

Walk in the gardens is a must. Food is good specially the Curry. Perfect cottage stay

    Not worth the money

Cottage not up to standard. Lacking property security. Furnishings dated, not in good condition
