    Pros +

    • Very nice breakfast, room, gym, sauna, hairdresser, all were great. Beautiful and comfy room, elegant entrance hall, nice balcony in the bedroom and staff also very attentive.
    • Location
    • Beautiful, elegant, incredibly nice staff, as well as the accommodation. The best of all was having a pianist playing at breakfast. Very talented, beautiful selection, and it just prepared your soul to deal with the rest of the busy day of a city like São Paulo.

    Cons -

    • But, I was very disappointed with the hotel SPA (Buddha Spa franchise) that had no slots available on the 14th (the day I arrived) and would be closed the next day, because of a holiday, which makes no sense for a SPA inside a hotel. So, that said, I wasn't able to get a massage, as I intended.
    • Good location, that’s it. Dated rooms - had to move furniture to connect my phone. Breakfast was meh, but at least they had a piano. Took forever to check-out. Hotel is not quite 5 stars, like the neighboring Hilton or Sheraton:. It is more like 4 stars. Don’t care about either, just don’t advertise something it is not.
    • I would say the only small thing was that the food served in the restaurant was a tiny bit under the standards that it should be for such an amazing hotel. There are a few small problems with the food. Everything is very taste, but, for example, the raviolis, though was too thick, and the filet mignon was a bit too hard. But everything else made up for it.

Staff is great, very polite and attentive. The breakfast is a bit repetitive but there are lots of options so you can vary it yourself along the days. But the breakfast ambience with the live piano makes it 10 stars! The room was spacious and comfortable, despite some details showing signs of age (for example the wooden wardrobe or balcony door slightly crocked) still gives a premium comfortable feeling.

The only downside to me was just a lack of ready available information in the bedroom about the hotel structure. Printed information should be available in the bedroom for the guests to consult (or a QR code to an online page, anything like that). Things like breakfast time and location were passed to me verbally on check-in, but once I arrived at the bedroom there was nothing to remind the times, or telling what facilities are available and their locations (I never saw directions to a pool or gym for example), whether there was a restaurant in the hotel, times of operation, or even basic things like Wi-Fi information (I had to call front desk to ask about it).

Excellent location for business in the immediate area. Staff were very professional and helpful. Good breakfat.

    9JimPosted on: 6-29-2025

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very secure and safe.

Workspace in my room didn't have good task lighting, there were no electrical outlets near the desk. Hotel internet wifi was unreliable and weak in places.

Nice breakfast restaurant. Very polite and nice staff. Special thanks to Ms. Isabella Carvalho. She speaks good English. She is warm and friendly, making me feel at home. I will come back to stay in this hotel. ?

Everything was extremely clean and organized. The room was spacious with a balcony. The hotel staff was extremely professional and helpful. The decor and atmosphere was elegant and wonderful. The shower pressure was wonderful. The bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast that was included with the hotel was amazing and had a very large variety of protein and fresh fruit.

The only thing that we were asked for was American style bubble bath, which was not available. Hardly something to complain about, with such a marvelous Hotel.

Great location about 10 minutes from the center, everything is within walking distance, the room was spacious and the breakfast was very good.

While the room is spacious, it does not have a closet, just a small area with hangers. With a room this big, there could have been more storage space for clothes.

Good location, great breakfast! The rooms are spacious with silent central AC. Older wood furniture gives it a time capsule vibe! The staff was friendly.

The hotel is older than other hotels in the same price range, some blemishes on the bathroom, like moisture stains on door frames can give a bad impression even though the room was super clean.

Dear Gran Estanplaza Berrini,We appreciate our stay; it was our first few days in São Paulo! The breakfast was very good, and the area was beautiful. However, there were a couple of drawbacks: the rooms were a bit old, and the bed sheets had some stains.Best regards,

The hotel is a beautiful French style of architecture. Sao Paulo architecture is mostly modernist and minimalist so its relaxing to stay in a classic style building that's pleasurable to the eyes. Also, friendly staff that speaks English.

Since my last stay 7 years ago, hotel prices per night have more than doubled. Also, breakfast became more simple; for example it used to have carpaccio and prosciutto and various assortments of cheeses such as blue cheese and parmesan.

breakfast was nice I liked the live music of the pianist.

Price to high for a "declared" 5-star hotel

    Location is perfect,

The main issue is that close to the hotel there is a Bar that operates the whole night, the noise is hard as the hotel is quite old and don't have noise-blocking windows, in general, need a renewal

    9DanielPosted on: 7-18-2024

Comfy room. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of options and piano player every day. A good gym also. It was close to my office and the staffing was really supportive.

I missed more staffing at the gym. I went to the swimming pool and I didn't find any towels at the time. The bar closed too early also.

Breakfast was pretty good, lot of options. Room was clean, and standard. Amenities were mid and dated.

Overall ok, nothing special, nothing terrible. For English-only speakers, there are a couple front desk folk that are really not friendly, which was very counter to any other experience in São Paulo where most people are very polite and kind. There was 1 front desk person at checkout who was really professional and warm/helpful who helped turn it around a bit.

Helpful staff, gym & pool area

Lack of communication about how to power the room (key slot at the door), minimal outlets and issues with travel adapters, room controls (lights and AC controlled by phone... and AC did not work)
