- O café da manhã estava delicioso!
- Staff were very helpful. Location near the Teatro Guiara is wonderful. We walked every day in the passeio publico.
- Proximity to conference.
Cons -
- 1) No momento do check-in estava assinalado como single e nao double sendo que eu havia feito essa reserve surpresa para o meu marido para comemorar uma data.2) No meio da noite começou a cair muita água do ar condicionado e tuvemos que desligar.
- When we arrived water in he room was burning hot but staff were attentive and problem was fixed early the next morning.
- My experience was very disappointing. There was no English-speaking staff, which made communication extremely difficult. I was also overcharged compared to what I thought was agreed to at face to face communication at front desk. It felt like a scam. I would not recommend this place and suggest others double-check everything before, during and at checkout.

In many ways, this hotel was awesome. In particular, my interactions with hotel staff were superior. The receptionists helped me with issues, the maintenance guy was great, and the food people were efficient and nice. The breakfast was fantastic, and the room was great. So why did I only rate it a 2? Please read what I didn't like.
1) This first thing is minor. Every day, I passed a sign that said there was a special feijoada meal on every Saturday. When Satuday came, there was no special meal, and I was told this doesn't happen in January! What, you can't eat feijoada in January??2) This is far more important, and it is the reason for my low rating. I picked this hotel, in part, because they advertised a swimming pool. The pool, however, cannot be heated and is not used. I tried, but couldn't do it. It was too cold!Far more important about the pool is the fact that it is very unsafe. If a non-swimmer fell into the pool, they might not get out. Why is that? First, although very small, the pool is pretty deep, deep enough that children can't stand up. But the worst part is that the sides of the pool are very high from the upper water level, and most of these sides have overhangs that would be impossible for a small person to reach or pull themselves up on. There is one ladder; otherwise, there is really no way out. The pool is also located next to the gym, from which a toddler could walk away and fall into the pool while the parent is working out.Because this pool is dangerous, it should be closed. It also should not be advertised as a hotel amenity. I am sure others, like me, who come with the hope of swimming, are disappointed, and won't come back. Most importantly I believe, this pool should be closed before a tragedy occurs. So, although I liked the hotel in all other ways, I gave it a very low rating.
very clean, comfortable bed, close to town
Inattentive staff, from reception to restaurant staff.
The hotel is in a very good location in the center of Curitiba. Our room was large and spacious and well equipped according to the description at booking:Large bathroom including a good high pressure shower with hot water and white towels of high quality.Very comfortable bed with white high quality bedding. Good lightning and good soundproof. The curtains darkened very well.Everything is very clean at this hotel. Most of the staff are very friendly and very helpful.WiFi was strong and reliable.
We enjoyed the stay at the hotel and would have rated 10 but there were some issues preventling from that. The breakfast offered did not match the quality of the hotel: Very oily fried as well as scrambled eggs, artificial fruit juices, few fresh fruits...However, the coffee itself was very good. The restaurant does not match the quality of the hotel, either. Among others we ordered a ganja de frango which was a only a rice soup, no chicken to be seen.I paid the meals at the restaurant before leaving and kept the receipts. However, the hotel tried two times - at first checkout and also check out after prolongation - to charge one of the meals. There was also a problem with the additional tax which was included in the total price of the reservation. They tried to charge another 10 percent tax on the total price which already included the 10 percent tax.
The breakfast was good. The staff was super attentive. Although it is in the city center, the room was quiet. And it was also clean. Our room was spacious enough for the bassinet and we still had room to walk around the room.
They have vegetarian/vegan options in a corner (not with the other food) but they call it "Healthy corner" which is not exactly true. Also, that the some guys in the parking lot next door, which has a partnership with the hotel, didn't wear any uniform identifying the parking lot company. They should be identified. Also, the promoters insisting on "free meal" you would get if you go to a "meeting" where they share information about a water park in another city. Didn't like it at all.
Breakfast greatCheckout staff very good attitude.Check in good attitude BUT was not prepared to meet our requirementsGarage next to the hotel BUT you have to pay for it (NOT included)
Room was too noisy at the old tower 310. There was a generator or something like that making lot of noise during the night, was not able to sleet properly. Room was old.My wife and kid stayed in the "new" tower and the room was excellent. There is no "standard" service and comfort between rooms and towers.I announced I was arriving 11PM with my family (5 in total) so I booked two as much adjoining as possible. Even they had they information the rooms and bedding were not pre-check in.
Close to the city center on foot, comfy bed, minibar available in room, good breakfast, very close to hop in/out bus stop, and reasonable prices in the restaurant for dinner/lunch.
The safe box was not working in the room. Besides there is a porter who collects the luggage from the taxi in the main entrance, I suggest that he could take them to the room to get tips.
Love the location. Both times there we had a view of the park, lovely. The rooms are very comfortable and breakfast was perfect.
Very good value for money. Very good size Room with good facilities.
Area not very safe. Especially after dark.
Great location. Amazing service and delicious breakfast included.
Courtesy later check out!
friendly staff, breakfast included, room was OK, not expensive.
the sound proofing was not good. people were making a lot of noise till late night and you can hear everything from outside.
Close to historic center. Very good breakfast
Homeless people in the park across the street but they never were a threat
The food is great. The cleaning staff are friendly and efficient. Near Theatro Guiara, the Passeio Publico and Rua das Flores.
We have stayed at the Hotel Mabu a number of times with lovely rooms. This time the room was basic. Perhaps Bookings arrangement with lower prices only allows basic rooms. This hotel hosts many business conferences but the two very small elevators are not adequate for the number of guests.
Staff and food.
A bit noisy during the night. People don’t respect silence after 10pm.
We had a great time in our staying. Clean and organized hotel with good facilities. Highly recommended
Construction work in front of the building
Nice location, old furniture
Furniture , noisy
The helpfulness of the employees was excellent, unfortunately the photos of the accommodation did not correspond to reality.
The pictures of the accommodation did not reflect reality, people were very helpful, but we choose another hotel chain.
The location is great, right at Curitiba city center. The staff was nice and helpful. My room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Overall a good stay and I can recommend this hotel.
The breakfast was ok, but I expected more from this hotel.
