Pros +
- Nice little boutique hotel, love the antique German architecture. Friendly and helpful staff.
- Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms
- The atmosphere. It's not a modern or a flashy hotel but it has a mature and unfussy feeling about it that I liked. Common areas downstairs are comfortable. Reception staff are attentive, for example, when being dropped of by a cab outside, they buzzed us in and then greeted us before we even rang the bell most times. The rooms and en-suite were of a decent size and nicely enough equipped and furnished as you would expect for a 3/4 star. Breakfast was fine. We didn't stay long enough to try the restaurant (though we did eat at an excellent Indian Restaurant called Swadisht, a short cab ride away, which made a very good change from Brazilian fare). For a city hotel, with some sense of history (rare in Brazil) short stay (we were there for the Verde Express) there's not much more you could want.
Cons -
- They didn’t have hot plates to heat up the eggs for the breakfast. They charge 50 reais per day to park your car, and you don’t have other option because there isn’t any parking available on the street.
- No yoghurt for breakfast for the granola ☹️☹️

Breakfast, location & staff all good

Nice historical building beautiful renovated. The very friendly and helpful staff made us feel like home. Good breakfast.
Great location, right in the city centre. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was super friendly.
Enjoy our stay very much. Good location very clean. I personally really enjoyed the afternoon coffee and the outside garden area. I loved the historical hotel, rooms with tall windows and doors from another "era".
The breakfast is typically Brazilian, and there are many sweet things :) But OK, everything that is necessary is there. We appreciated the kindness of the personnel. We arrived very late at night, and we were still welcomed nicely. The hotel is very stylish and a nice place to stay in Curitiba.
The staff were very helpful Julio especially couldn't do enough for you. Nice selection of drinks and snacks in the room. Would definitely stay again.
Everything was good
friendly and helpful staff
the room was pretty dark, not a nice outside.
Charming historic building, nicely renovated while keeping the old charm. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Even our room to the front was very quiet. Very helpful and friendly staff. I appreciated the possibility for valet parking. Very good Brazilian breakfast. Would stay there again.
Beautiful building with history. Great bathroom!
Easy breakfast, nearby has no pharmacy or grocery. View from the window is...not good.
Location and breakfast
Very slow check in, wanted to make us pay (undie) extras at check out, one of the rooms was not great
Picture on ibis which showed a classy hotel but far from it
1. The check in time was clearly marked as 14:00 pm and we got there at 14:41 pm and no room was ready .the girls at reception told us to wait until the room was ready and it took until 14:53 pm when we got a room . Once in the room I wanted to use the safe to put my passport in and realized that it is not secured in the wall mount closet and there were two loose screws beside it which was strange. I looked at the door and could not figure out how it worked . Called reception and found out that they were supposed to give me a lock for it , anyhow I got a lock and had to get a maintenance guy to come to the room and secure the safe so we could use it . Very strange first impression2. Customer service . The hotel looked like a nice one but the way the girl told us to wait until the room was ready was like a motel treatment, she didn't offer us a coffee or even a simple apology that the room was not ready . Her concentration was on the trainee Monica who just started and the customer was not a concern of her. There was no language barrier either because my wife is Brazilian so that cannot be her excuse .Overall the night was ruined for us and will not be staying here .Slowly I am losing faith with booking .com because there are too many misrepresentations when it comes to pictures of these hotels. As an example we just got to the nest stop and this is even more expensive that the one in curitiba and the picture shows such a beautiful hotel but it is a dump
Stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. It is a small hotel set in an historic building dating back to the early part of the twentieth century. The building itself is the real jewel in the crown. The Staff just cannot do enough to make your stay memorable. It's location is perfect , close to the city centre. Food first class . Certainly will be back again in the future .
Absolutely nothing. Perfect.
Location
Unless foreign guests carry a Brazilian SIM card (technically not allowed without CIF), it is not possible to communicate with the front desk in case of any emergency as, unlike in all other hotels I used in Brazil, this property does not authorize the staff to use WhatsApp - or actually to make any decisions to resolve a problem in the evening or during the weekends. Management is absent, all AI fluff, no subtance..Also - recommendation from the hotel where to have lunch on Sunday: "all is closed around here , go to a shopping mall", while just a few blocks away there was a bustling street martet with plenty to eat and drink. A bit strange gap in local knowledge,
The property was beautiful. The Bedroom was huge! and the bed was very comfortable. Super clean with large windows in a quiet location. The breakfast was amazing. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We also has a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Leonardo always had our car ready!
Great place not far from the city center. A big room and a comfortable bed. The room was quite, because not in the front street. Very clean. Great breakfast buffet. Very friendly and English speaking staff. The room
The neighbourhood feels a bit strange during the night, but not specific problems.
Very nice breakfast. Property felt safe and secure. Beds are very comfortable.
Other than my shower head not functioning, the property was great.
The breakfast is great and we liked the evening meal featuring 5 soups (canvas). This is a delightful old hotel. Great first floor sitting area with fireplace. Nice that you can order wine or drinks there.
The bedding was not fitted for single beds but, as it was cold, the air conditioner was also a heater
