Blue Lagoon Hotel and Conference Centre

The place is very beautiful and quiet, and this was not my first stay. Some of the staff was not so welcoming though. But there's 2 that were very very good to me and I appreciate them. One is a guy who helped with my change, the second one is the person who brought us breakfast which I almost payed double for.

The staff wasn't friendly at all, didn't even tell us about any of the facilities the hotel had to offer. The hotel should be more explicit about the views to the lagoon, we couldn't see it at all. The room was abit study, there were no windows in the bathroom and the extractor fan didn't seem to be working

There was no shower cap, only an empty box laying there.There were no bathing towels in the bathroom. I had to ask for towels.

You clearly hear the other person on next room talking.. Sound proof in room is very bad.

The breakfast was great but more staffing on weekends would make it better.

The chef ran out of eggs and the queue was super long. The buffet stations ran out of food before 09h30 and were not replenished

People parking right infront of my door laughing and making noise at 3am when they are not even supposed to park there. No one controlling that. That was the down side of my visit

Very nice hotel, the layout is very inviting and its has secure parking. A lovely large pool area where can enjoy the dun and swim, bar and deck area that has a beautiful view over lagoon. Rooms really comfortable with private patio. The bar tender makes excellent cocktails. Breakfast buffet is great, especially the man who makes the omelets and eggs. Very friendly guy.

Be careful what you order off the menu in the restaurant, i ordered the marry me chicken and it was so dry I needed a glass of water to wash it down, and their cheese sauce you could use to plaster your walls of your home.

I honestly did not like anything about this place.

The rooms are dilapidated, old and not in a good condition, no towels in the rooms, bed was hard like a rock oh, and let's not forget the cockroaches. we were welcomed by them when we just stepped into our room.The noise from the other guests staying next to us was horrendous, we could even hear them breath.The noise from outside was also uncalled for, guests running and screaming around the property made it very difficult to sleep as we had a race and a long drive back to Johannesburg the next day.

Hotel nt modern no charging plugs if you don't have an adaptor. Toilet sits scary since they old.

Great location with private beach access, with a pool and buffet.

The breakfast was awesome, fresh and very tasty...a variety catering for all people's preference. The area was on point ...breath taking view

The noise. It was very noisy at night. People from next door were making noise. The music from the bar it was too loud.

I wasn’t comfortable with the many, large dassies which come out in the evenings. I had to be escorted to my room by security on 1 occasion. I also had no towels whatsoever on the 1st night but this was rectified the next day.

The place is very clean and tidy. Safe too. Your receptionist Songezo is a great fit for the place too. Very friendly always smiling. We need more receptionists like him.

The lady helping me on that day wasn’t too friendly. She would look at her computer while you’re talking to her, seeming very uninterested.

Location was great, breakfast was great, staff were generally great.

I had booked a twin room but was given a double, fortunately this was changed. The bar area was noisy, but then it was Saturday night and clearly a popular venue.

Was supposed to be a sea view. Couldn't see past 1 meter from the veranda. There was a public facility thereafter and we had to endure their noise.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The garden and pool need and clean. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast team friendly and ready with the coffee.

I must be honest, The beach is my happy place, i am an eastern cape guy myself, !! hence I like to book at the Blue Lagoon, when i travel to E.L. purely to get a chance to get a walk on the beach in the evening after work.I would like to say, i would really love to book a river & sea view room, but the pricing is just too much and one can't justify this for one night, the room prices should be brought into line with the Garden Rooms pricing, or reduce the river view pricing a bit. One can't pay in excess of R2500 for a night stay for a double room? if the prices on the river view rooms were reduced i would certainly book one. thank you look forward to hearing from you.

The Garden room was comfortable and clean, The bar restaurant has a lovely setting. I look forward to being able to book into a river - sea view room on my next trip.

The rooms clean and pillows comfortable. Reception area beautiful. I enjoyed breakfast, the staff was friendly.

The first feel of the bed was not that comfortable, but I slept well. The block where my room was, was normal flats.
