Hemingways Hotel

I liked the bar fridge, both bath and shower and the level of the floor with amenities,fitness room, and it takes us straight to the Mall

I can't say anything because I came very late from the ceremony that I attended

The place was just amazing overall. Food is on another level. I expected smaller portions however I was really pleased when the portions came in very generous even for the kids meal. Best place to stay in East London so far

Nothing, everything was great

Everything was good,when we complained about a room smelling of cigarettes,we were moved to another room, we then raised our concerns about the size we were moved to another room with a bigger bed without any hasslesthe stuff was great,even on our arrival were helped with our luggage by a very humble gentleman, my daughter's infant got I'll and vomited in the bed at about 2am,we called the reception for the change of the linen but unfortunately the housekeeping was gonna be avyat 6,but a security guy came rushing to assist us and to check if the baby was ok,then in the morning we got delayed for breakfast,when we got there ,the food has been removed already,but the very same gentleman who helped us with our luggage again came through for us,he went inside the ans came with the chef and told us that they will make the breakfast for we shouldn't worry and indeed we had a great one,and we thanked the chef and showed our appreciation as well as the waitresses

I think they should consider putting the microwave and the iron and iron board in the rooms as well as the hair dryer,and please give more drinking water not that only 1 bottle

The food did not meet my expectations the Breakfast buffet. However the accommodation was excellent, including the level of cleanliness.

The food could have been way better, especially the quality of the food that was prepared for the Buffet Breakfast.

The rooms are very neat ,and most of the stuff are really friendly and professional expecially the kitchen stuff and Noluthando or Luthando was exceptional and the manager or supervisor who was on duty on Wednesday dinner time, she's a tall lady I just forgot her name,can't say the same as the food, I didn't enjoy it ,it wasn't tasty even the lambs chops that I ordered on room service thinking that it was gonna be better than the food by the dinning hall,it was bad and cold ,infact their food is cold even their breakfast except for the eggs,on and there's this particular lady from the reception who called me on my last day of my vacation and told me that I need to check out and I informed her that my flight was in the afternoon ,she told me that she will to charge me per hour and she very impolite,I was then called by a gentleman who told me that it's ohk he will give me up until 12:30 ,that girl really spoiled my day, then there's the Casino,I played everyday since I arrived,but I was going back to my room empty handed.no win up until my last day on Saturday,it's difficult to get a free play and if you get it luckily...it will not pay? either than that I really enjoyed my stay,I felt very safe in my room and the room was up to standard and very neat wish the was a heater and that the cleaning ladies can lower down the noise in the corridor as some of us are still sleeping in the mornings,thank you for accommodating me in the Eastern Cape

Old carpets, pricey and no breakfast

I wish you can have a variety. Almost all the hotels serve the same food.Sometimes it can be boring.

The couch in our room is torn! Please try to balance everything. Your hotel is an upmarket accommodation, one doesn't expect to see old unkempt furniture. The bath didn't have a bath stopper!??

We stayed overnight for one night. Left at 06h30 before breakfast. And went out to dinner with other colleagues the night before.

Bed Bugzzzz!!!!!!!Carpets is dirty as well. Beds and carpets needs a very deep clean. Hotel needs a refurbished.

Very friendly reception staff. Room was comfy with easy access to Casino and mall. Great parking underneath the hotel.

my room was not cleaned until 2pm on Sunday. asked for ice backet never received it. Staff member told me they busy preparing Sunday lunch and they are short staff, so he can't help meAsked waiter to warm my food, she told me no food From outside is welcome in Chef's kitchenWent by the pool side, table and chairs are worn out, and there were no cushion laid outside. and time was 3pm. the pool was not clean,the lady who was cleaning my room On Sunday midday. was not nice at all. no manners what's so ever, please take your staff for 'customer service training. they have no way of speaking to guest. So disrespectful and annoyed when speaking to me. the lady who checked me in. gave me my keys and told me that I didn't pay for bfast. my rate is room only. which I was aware of. my surprise was that: there was no warm welcome, she never told us about the facilities the hotel offers. The people who were helpful was security guard. It's such a shame that they help guest with lagguage and have to safe guard the hotel. don't know how they could possible do all that at once. my room was 521 the criticism is for the staff and service to improve. Hemmingways Hotel has never been like this. the standard has dropped drastically.

It had no microwave on the room we had to eat cold food, also didn’t like their brunch? They need to work on their food

The waitress did not attend me while I was asking for the sit in the kitchen. I was the first person to be attended. She just attended her friends and leave me miserable.

The casino, the Manager's attitude.

The dirtiness of the facilities. Rooms carpets are old, cinema, passages carpets are dirty and the walls are dirty. The place has deteriorating, its really incomprehensible.

Everything about Hemmingways hotel, it is sooo beautiful ? and the service out of this world.....we had a great experience

One of waiters that were serving at the restaurant us have a bad attitude ,but it won't change the fact that we enjoyed staying in Hemmingways hotel....people are different I understand

Friendly staff!!

Breakfast is served until 11am, however when we got down @ 10am there was hardly any breakfast left, so we had to scratch to get food.

The hotel is well located, particularly the adjoining shopping mall. The hotel is clean and the staff were polite and responsive to requests. The breakfast had variety although it was one way.

There was leakage at the bathroom which should be checked
