AC Hotel Cape Town Waterfront

Location was perfect and staff was always very friendly and helpful.

I would have given a 10 for everything except my remote in the room didn?t have batteries and I asked but they were never delivered. It?s ok though bc it helped me not watch TV while I was there

The friendness of the staff.

They did have customer loyalty program. I booked mountain view room but was given a different room that faces containers.

Beautiful room and facilities. Also a great breakfast.

We were charged twice for this hotel. We paid in full at booking, and the hotel wouldn?t release us until we paid again. They said they had not received payment from Priceline.We are in the middle of a remote trip and I have not been able to sort it out.

Location was not far from the main commercial area, but was surrounded by hiways, which made walking very inconvenient. The hotel did have a shuttle to the central wharf area, but return schedule was a bit spotty.

The location is fantastic - in close proximity to the Cape Town waterfront area and easy to get to almost everywhere I wanted to go. The staff were amazing - every single thing I needed or question I had, was attended to quickly and with friendliness. When I needed extra water in my room because I was so dehydrated from travel, they brought me two extra right away. Sometimes I needed to sleep in (jet lag) but then wanted to have my room cleaned after the usual morning cleaning service. I'd put my sign on when I left around mid-morning and was always pleasantly surprised by how quickly the housekeeping team came back around to clean my room. Sometimes if I returned for a break in between meetings in mid-afternoon, the room had already been cleaned in that 2-3 hour stretch which is not always the case! Also though I didn't take in breakfast any day, the room service was lovely - I'd recommend the Mozambican peri-peri chicken!

I really enjoyed my time. I think the only drawback for other travellers might be that the specific location while strategic, is not scenic. It faces a port/dock so much of my view was just shipping containers. However, it is walking distance or a short Uber ride to the more scenic areas of the waterfront and the convenience of the location is great.

The staff were extraordinarily attentive and kind.

Honestly the only downside to this property was the difficulty in getting around town from there. It’s not convenient to walk from, and the water taxis were often not operating because of wind. This meant needing to uber to most places we wanted to get to.

Excellent location with free shuttle service to and from the Waterfront.Very friendly and very helpful staff: reception, concierge (Mr. Michael), and restaurant/lobby.Rooms are clean and spacious.Great value / cost.

The room’s fridge was not stocked (no free items, no items to purchase), and the water was not re-stocked daily (not a major issue but it stood out in an otherwise excellent experience)No late room service. If you are hungry after 10 pm then you are on your own. There is a 24 hrs shop at the ground floor, but the items are limited and mostly snacks. No food.

More frequent shuttle service time to the waterfront . And shuttle pickup at waterfront was only 6:00pm then 9pm

So….one side faces onto the port - which can get a tad noisy early morning. And there is a train-line for freight that runs outside the hotel. Ask for a CITY VIEW ……location is a good 20 mins walk on the canal path to the waterfront…..I would suggest that isnt a waterfront location…..

Got a bit lost walking back from waterfront. Water taxi was excellent, but does not run late.

Canal cruise pass was very handy

A little too far to walk to V&A Waterfront as you have to go all the way around
