    Pros +

    • The breakfast was included and 'made to order' (not a buffet) .. it was well done and more than ample portions. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although there is not 24 hour desk service, a staff person came in very early on day my day of departure (I had a very early departure for an early flight) and was able to assist with baggage. They also delivered a prepared in room breakfast for me on departure day, since I had to leave before the breakfast kitchen opened. Thank You!
    • Beautiful building, lovely room, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, staff were amazing and attentive
    • Great staff and service. Delicious breakfast.

    Cons -

    • I asked for arrangements for an early morning taxi to the airport the day before I left .. I was quoted one price, but it more than doubled before the end of the day! I ended up requesting Uber (about 1/4 the hotel quoted cost) instead of using the taxi recommended by the hotel.
    • I like everything about it. The property is somewhat quirky, but very comfortable.
    • Limited on-site parking space. Sufficient street parking space.

Located close to a supermarket, the World Cup soccer stadium and the Water Front entertainment area. Staff were most friendly and absolutely helpful in assisting us to make our stay most enjoyable. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. Nice but small private swimming pool. Great breakfast. Good WiFi.

Limited on-site parking space. Sufficient street parking space.

We really enjoyed our stay at Harper's. Everyone is super friendly, the hotel is designed with love, and the neighborhood is centrally located.

It is an older house and the floors are very creaky and loud with other guests.

    8JannaPosted on: 7-9-2025

Great breakfast, good location, big rooms, good beds

Very small hotel with almost no shared space, thin walls so can hear everything around you

    Great breakfast and location.

Laundry service on the pricy side. Sometimes a bit noisy (employees watch something on their phone on speakers)

A beautiful house in a great location that is a safe walk to the Sea Point Promenade via Green Point Park. The room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Would highly recommend staying here.

    Breakfast was excellent!

Beautiful old building with wooden floors. Unfortunately, wooden floors do not absorb noise from above or other rooms.

Lovely quirky boutique hotel Gave us early breakfast to make the Table Mountain cable car and toast and coffee on return

Perfect location in a quiet area. Across the street is a supermarket and you are surrounded by nice restaurants

Being really picky here but would have been nice if the small plunge pool had been heated.

The location, the staff and the breakfast

As it is an old house, the floor makes a lit of noise when you walk

we had an amazing time at Harpers house, the place is simply beautiful and the location great to travel around CapeTown. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast really good. We definitely enjoyed Harpers House and will be staying back on our next trip.

Beautiful High Ceiling and very comfortable beds, we arrived early and they allowed us to drop our bags while we walked around the area. we were not out for very long and on our return the rooms were ready early. The staff were very friendly and nice and nothing was a bother for them. We were out most of the day at the V & A and on our return we went to the supermarket right across the road from the guest house which was great. We spent a little time in the garden and plunge pool which was great to have in the heat. The rooms were very nice although the TV has no channels so we signed into Prime and had a Movie night after along day, the staff very kindly allowed my daughter to make noodles in the kitchen which was great. You have to Pre-order your breakfast which was easy and it was very nice. I ordered a Fruit Bowl and a Full English and the Fruit bowl was hugh. Great Location close to DHL Stadium and V&A which we walked to with ease.

Breakfast was great. The option to order the day before is really nice, we arrive for breakfast on the agreed time and everything is ready. Property is beautiful and well located. Staff was helpful. The room space is nice and comfortable

The walls are really thin. You hear everything from other rooms and from the corridors. The room had windows to the outside area, and there were no curtains other than the blackout ones, so you had to stay in the dark to have some privacy. The wooden floor is really noisy, so you could hear every step from the upper floor. For some reason there was a giant red "C" in the room decoration that really hurts the vibe of the place. At the first day the room was missing a towel and soap. The pool water was green, and I did not feel comfortable entering it.

Beautiful Guest House, perfectly located for any event at the Stadium which was the reason for our stay.

We had no complaintes - it was a perfect stay! Excellent breakfast too! Highly recommend.

Beautiful rooms and grounds. Walkable to Seapoint and great neighborhood restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff.

It’s a sweet renovated Victorian home with lofty rooms and a sweet outside for breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly - letting us leave our bags while we went for two nights and then returned.

The first room we were put in (we had two stinks there) was number 5 and we didn’t like the layout of the room. There was also barely any wardrobe space for both of us/ the view was also out to an old dusty block or flats so not a nice view. The second room 2 - was perfect.

Delicious breakfast, beautifully served. Super location, Sea Point for peaceful stroll along the promenade and the V&A Waterfront walkable in 15 mins. Safe and secure location, easy to walk to local restaurants within 5 minutes even after dark (ordinarily you are not advised as a tourist to walk after dark - Ubers super quick and cheap). Staff really friendly and helpful. Bed super comfortable, immaculate room and bathroom.

Pool only suitable as a plunge pool, smaller than photos depicted. Some noise as guests returned in the evenings but after about 11pm we didn’t hear anything.
