The place has been revamped and is absolutely lovely. The staff are excellent. And it is very well located. The beds are new and comfortable and the bathrooms really nice.

Delicious breakfast even though we felt rushed by the staff because they were about to close the kitchen. Great location and excellent service. Like that, clean water for drinking was always provided for free.

rooms are a bit tight for 2 people, but liked that they were kept clean

The location is very good. We did not have breakfast as we are vegans and there are not a lot of options for us. The bedrooms are nice and spacious.

Location is good and rooms clean.

Do not like the fact that all the family members were forced to supply their personal information. They even took all our ID documents and passport away for copies. In SA you cannot let anybody take your ID document or passport out if your sight as we all know what happens. That was totally unexceptable as I was the client that paid. I gave all the necessary information but we felt that we are being treated like criminals. The staff was unfriendly and did not even try and explain why they needed the information. What about the POPIA act? I can understand that they wanted my information as I was the person that made the booking, but there is no reason for the hotel to insist on everybody's personal information and for taking our documents out of our sight. There was also no water in the rooms which is also not acceptable as you cannot drink tap water anymore. All other hotels supply you with drinking water. Paying as much as you do for the rooms, one would expect to at least get some water. I wil not use this hotel again as the price is outrageous in comparison to other facilities and the way we were being treated because I wanted to know why the hotel wanted all the personal information, is not acceptable at all. I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times but this was the last time. The staff is incompetent and some if them have no clue what they are doing. I specifically asked for an interlinked room and that also was ignored.

I was checked into someone else's room with a dirty plate that was crawling with ants, I called reception and had to wait for them to find another room.

I think the explanation of that the room was someone else's room, was a lay.

Reception- Eugene did check in and check out- he is AMAZING! So friendly, efficient en welcoming! Really great work Euge

The check in process was amazing on Saturday 30.12.2024,wonderful lady , very friendly, sorry cannot remember her name, she made us feel very at home the lady helping at the bar was also great, room was beautiful and clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast chefs was amazing treating my 12 year superbly as it was his first time staying in hotel. Food was good, omelet was amazing, as chef prepared it fresh for me....thank for the amazing work you do

What was really embarrassing was the fact that at breakfast, the lady on duty whilst eating and without even asking placing the breakfast bill next to us, I called her and said that she should check the system that we paid for bfast at check in already. After check out , the receptionist running after us in the parking lot, telling me she did not see us paying for bfast with other people around....I told her we did ,I could show her on app, she still looked as if she did not believe me....so that was quite embarrassing and town lodge should have a better system when paying and booking for bfast..I work in catering myself and come from 5 star hotel trade, there should be list of booking at bfast in morning. But to be run after in a parking lot by receptionist, left a sour taste after the stay. I would also critic, that the bfast in shaving dishes was cold ....so attention slightly there recommended.

The location was convenient for where I needed to go for business. The place was clean, easily accessible.

    7SlabbertPosted on: 9-25-2024

    Room was clean.

Pillows were uncomfortable, the aircon in the room didn't work and the USB charge next to the bed was not working either. The walls are thin so able to here people in their rooms.

    5FrancesPosted on: 5-27-2024

    Passable

Unfortunately, I was not informed that the hotel was being renovated and that the kitchen was shut. On the second day I found that my room had been stripped, also due to the renovations, and I had to move to a new room.

Our flight from Cape Town to Newark New Jersey was cancelled at the last minute and we were desperate to find a room. We were fortunate to find the Town Bellville Lodge. The woman at the reception desk couldn't have been nicer. The room was just what we needed. Everything was clean and overall, we were very pleased with our stay.
