Pros +
- Clean rooms and beautiful views all throughout the hotel.
- Clean spacious room friendly staff across road to beach.
- Sea facing rooms have amazing views and great balcony. Beautiful interiors and overall very good service and breakfast.
Cons -
- Entrance was through the mall, however it was not a major issue.
- 2 long flights of stairs to ground level; not for elderly or those w disabilities.
- Street in front is quite loud with performing groups all day long, kind of not great to listen to while sitting outside at all hours. Can also hear the noise through the sliding doors… could be worse but ideally you don’t hear anything at all with the doors slid close. Also weird entrance up the driveway ramp in the back.

Amazing stay at the Marly. Lovely location and staff, spotless and shiny clean
Great service. Spacious, comfortable room. Beautiful location.
The decor was kind of weird. Carpet everywhere and too much ‘aroma’.No counter space in the huge bathroom. The hotel is located inside of the mall
Tolle Lage, super freundliches Personal.
Generators for the air condition are sometimes really loud, elevator is not always working.
The location of The Marley Hotel was beyond ideal—truly perfect for anyone wanting to be in the heart of the action while still enjoying complete peace and quiet. Despite being in a lively area, I was never bothered by noise, traffic, or any outside distractions. One thing to note is that the entrance is at the back of the building. If you have luggage, be prepared to go through a parking lot and take the elevator up to the hotel. It’s a small inconvenience, but nothing that takes away from the experience. The staff was absolutely phenomenal—extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive. What stood out most was how unassuming the hotel appeared from the outside. While the exterior could use some modernization, the inside was immaculate. Every floor, every level, every space smelled absolutely incredible—it was easily the best-smelling hotel I’ve ever been to.Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable, stylish, and centrally located stay in Cape Town!
Beautiful, stylish, wonderful staff. A really special pace in an amazing location- nice to be able to just step out and go for a walk. Everyone working there was so helpful.
LOVED the location and it had the BEST breakfast with a bakery that made me think I was in France ! It had a gorgeous pool / lounge /restaurant on roof top overlooking beach/mountains that reminded me of Rio Brazil! Everyone who worked there had BIG SMILES and were anxious to help with whatever you needed!!! And the Gelato store on the street level was YUMMY!
Some of the room have steps and that can be scary (even though it looks pretty) but when I mentioned it I was immediately told they could change our room ! How nice is that??? (We opted to stay in that room bc it was large and bright and airy but I had to be careful to remember so I didn’t fall and start my vacation with a broken ankle!)
It was a small boutique hotel ( it was not cookie cutter) it was beautiful in a way that is different from your standard hotel and they were extremely attentive to our needs!!! I had mentioned we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they had flowers and champagne waiting for us!!! I was very impressed!
The room had different levels making it look dramatic but my safety of not falling was on my mind as we navigated the room after arriving exhausted or coming in after a long day of wine tasting! I kept saying be careful don’t forget there is a step in a few places in the room!
Perfect location, clean, good rooms with great view and staff are were all terrific. The restaurants downstairs were all good couldn’t fault it.
Spacious room, with high ceilings and a nice ocean view. Amazing shower and very comfortable bed!
Entrance of the hotel is a bit hidden / not so fancy, and pricing was on the high end
It’s our 2nd time staying at the Marly! We absolutely enjoy staying here! Our room was facing the ocean, with stunning views over Camps bay beach and promenade. Room terrace is really good for practicing yoga, and also for contemplating the amazing Cape Town sunsets :)Location is exceptional, stuff and service are wonderful and breakfast/brunch is exceptional (served until 11:30am)
So, the hotel is on top of a club (chinchilla), and you can hear music until late. Also you can’t leave varanda doors open because of the smell of food, that comes from restaurants below (mainly at night time)
Service was 6 star! Restaurant for breakfast made the best omelette I have ever had. Views of the beach for sea side room was incredible.
All was great. Only minus is that the main entrance is up through the mall and a little difficult to navigate the first time.
Amazing staff ; Marcelle is a huge asset to the hotel
Initial room offered was disappointing , view of Resturant roofs and litter.
Modern and clean rooms, the view from our room was lovely
The hotel is totally not worth this money! Uber drops you off at the main door of the shopping mall, where are tons of people. We had a lot of suitcases and there was no one to help us with... Thanks to the security guard who showed us how to get to the hotel through the SHOPPING CENTER! We were waiting for our room and the receptionist promised us that he would come for us when it will be ready. We were waiting for almost 2 hours and then the hotel manager came to us and asked us "what are you doing here" because our room had been ready for us for a long time... No organization! - Not worth the price! In our room we could smell everything from the kitchen, because the smell was coming from the ventilation near the wardrobe! We had a beautiful sea view from our terrace, but there was a kitchen below us and the smell of old oil was unbearable! Lovely terrace, but we could only sit on it when the kitchen was closed, so after midnight!Additionally, there are many homeless people on the beach who will harass you.
The hotel sits atop an outdoor shopping mall with 8-10 restaurants that can all be charged to the room. Every one was good... There is also a high end organic grocery attached, with prepared meals!
South Africans don't drink like americans. if you want a double, you have to get a double, double.
From the time we arrived the staff were waiting The manager was also there it was so welcoming
Everything everyone was super friendly and helpful
The location and facilities are exceptional. The rooms boast stunning aesthetics and feature breathtaking balconies. Although we requested a bed instead of a chair outside and were unable to accommodate this request, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring a positive experience overall.
We did encounter a slight inconvenience with our Uber drop-off as they were unfamiliar with the location, necessitating us to navigate from the roadside. While not a major issue, a preemptive message from the hotel explaining the situation could have alleviated any confusion.
Very clean and great location! All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful!
