Great location, cozy and vibrant, pool space and lounge, amazing kitchen. Staff were helpful and gracious, and amicable.

Beds were uncomfortable and doors would only slam shut.

Safe and walkable area (even at night) with lots of amenities. Big dorms with lockers for things. Very clean. Good common area and kitchen. Bar downstairs if you want it. Activities through the hostel if you want.

It’s not super social so hard to meet others if you’re not doing things through their activities or in the bar.

There is no designated smoking area. We can only smoke in the pool area between 8:00 to 20:00

The place is amazing, great location!!I loved everything, the Restaurant in the hotel, the hotel being close to the beach, other fast-food outlets The wifi was in good connection. Very LGBT+ friendly ?♥️

I would have loved an elevator in the building, the going up and down with stairs can actually be draining more if you have a lot of bags.Would have loved TV's in the sharing rooms it kind of gets a bit boring.

Great room, lovely staff, Good and quiet bedroom.

It was located a bit further than expected from Green Point, so I ended up taking taxis to go and come back, which was not a big issue

The staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen was big and well organized. The area was a safe and good location with shops, grocery stores and restaurants in walking distance. The dorm beds and duvet was comfortable! Also a very secure accommodation.

The tours were expensive through the hostel.

Everything was nice like bedding, bathroom, hot water was available, cleaning was great, location was great.

If something has to say then I will say please carry a lock otherwise you have to purchase from there in R50 (even economical).

The tv didn’t work and in the room I had there were lots of leaves and branches falling on the roof all night because of the wind.

I think there is a lot to like in this place. The layout of the hostel allows for outside chill spots, inside reading/working spaces. The restaurant/bar Randy Warthog is actually really good and fair priced, specially considering it's a travellers hostel. Location is great as well and of course the best are the staff, who are attentive, nice and genuinely caring and friendly to guests, an atitude that is contagious to the vibe of the hostel and reflects on how guests interact as well.

Not much to say really, some rooms can a bit louder than others but that's just unavoidable in hostel or communal living (not that I had any problem sleeping or otherwise).

Great facilities, seriously clean and an absolute bargain at the price.

Likes: Location is GREAT, little pub/restaurant at the door is brilliant. Rooms were spacious and more than enough amenities. Dislike: my bed was very squeaky and a little too short (being 1.94m tall myself.

Friendly staff, good location. We were glad the private rooms were far away from the bar.

The hostel is incredible. The room is spacious and very clean, although there were some tiny cockroaches, they only showed up at night (some pest control would be fine).Towels for free are a plus. The area is perfect, with many restaurants, grocery shops, coffee shops in the area (I’ll never forget Giovanni’s). Felt super safe. One day, just commented to a cleaning lady if she had seen my necklace around my bed, not accusing or something like this. Two minutes after she came to the room with another lady to check, and five minutes later the managed showed up in person to assess the situation (I’ve had just found). For me, was very clear how the management is serious on these issues and concerned about the guests satisfaction. Total plus.

Extended my stay because the hostel is just perfect.Thando received me there and she deserves all the best in the world. Extremely kind, helpful and caring.The breakfast is not worthy, in my opinion, so I would recommend you reserve without it.However, the hostel is absolutely the right place to meet new people. I’ve made so many good friends that made my time in Cape Town just unforgettable.

In a desperate act in the middle of a night, I’ve booked a private room. There was this mf sent from the deepest of the hells snoring for 3 nights in a row, that kept everyone awake. Even with earplugs. I don’t see any other form for staff to deal with it so, it happens. The price for bike rental I think could be a little bit cheaper, but it’s fine.The tours offered by the hostel (such as Best of the Cape) are also higher than other platforms but I enjoyed it a lot, and luckily the weather was beautiful as never, so total worthy.

Well, I’ve stayed in the shared room before moving to the private one. It’s pretty comfortable and spacious, with a huge bed and well cleaned every day.I would just suggest improvements in the window curtain since it still lets a lot of light (which is right above the window) pass to the room.Also, I don’t know if all the rooms have the air conditioning condenser in a compartment right above the bathroom, but mine room had, and it was pretty horrible. When cooling the room, it was too noisy and vibrated a lot, making extremely difficult to sleep.These things considered, I would say it is quite expensive for what it offers, so better hotel rooms can be found around for a more reasonable price.
