Breakfast is good
I didn’t find my make up stuff and chain with earrings. This is so bad if stuff took it when cleaning.
Very nice place for a family vacation. The property has a vintage style, a camp side feeling, the staff is friendly and the breakfast was my favorite part.
We were woken at night by fire alarms at 0030 and 0230 causing guests to evacuate their rooms !
Yes, sort out your fire alarm system! I had to leave for the airport at 0400, for a meeting in Jhb at 1000, so the two fire alarm incidents at 0030 and 0230 resulted in a total lack of sleep! Consequently, I will not be using this facility in future.
Breakfast was good with a nice variety of choices. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was good.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were large and spacious. Staff were great and very welcoming and friendly. Really central location with access to all of Cape Town's sites. The restaurant nearby (Wild Fig) was also really good
This is like experience so far, their breakfast is top notch… They have amazing staffs honestly from Fese, Fezeka and the breakfast fast staffs from Mr Funiwe, Royston, Saygie I hope i got her name rightIt was really a lovely experience from the room, the clean environment, the cleaners does their job so swift and so neatI will recommend this place over 100 times
Breakfast was great, excellent and professional staff, family friendly, will recommend this place to anyone.
We forgot to turn the air conditioner in our room, and we ended up with some mosquitoes. But that was just the first night, the other 4 nights, with air conditioner on, no mosquitoes.
Great breakfastgood room sizeGood shower
I honestly don’t know why this hotel is only 3 star, it should be 4 star!We stayed for 1 night in a beautiful and spacious king room. We have stayed in 4 star hotels in Europe which have been worse than this hotel. The breakfast was a full buffet with a chef to cook your hot selections. The staff were fantastic, friendly and happy to help with anything. We honestly thoroughly loved our stay!
Nothing, room was spotless, checkin was easy, no negatives at all!
The property had a nice garden and building with character
Wifi was not fast and not straight forward to set up
This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It seems to be a well kept secret...in a brilliant location for getting anywhere in Cape Town, stunning view of Devils Peak, large and well appointed rooms. I stayed for three weeks and didn't want to leave. The warm and friendly staff were perhaps a highlight...they were really lovely and kind. A special thanks to the kitchen and dining room team led by Funiwe, they are all wonderful. And the reception team too.
Location and rural feel close to the city
Dining experience was not good. Kitchen service was very slow. They could not cope in the evenings.
We love spending the night here. Beds sre super comfortable, Room is always spotless and the food from the manor house kitchen is simply delicious every time. Super convenient location for when we work in the CBD and no hassles with parking which is a big plus. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Great experience once again!
Comfortable
NoisySmelly drainSlow service to clean the roomsSlow service when ordering drinks after our Two Oceans run - by the poolNot enough food at breakfastNo spoons to dish up beans etc at breakfastSlow cooking at breakfast eggs, omlettes etcStaff don't look happy at allVERY BIG difference compared to last year
Pleasant
Old plumbing not conducive to a good nights sleep ?Its very noisy.Booked room with a mountain view; well could see the mountain from one bedroom but beds not even facing that way.Kitchenette very small. Appeared bigger on the photo.Second bedroom had two single beds but was listed to have a double bed.
Reception efficient and quick to help. Good attentive maitre d at breakfast.Staff very helpful such as if one is walking with a suitcase they would offer to help
Coffee - would have liked fresh "on tap" coffee. Perhaps an all purpose high end coffee machine would help.Hot buffet at breakfast was over cooked.
Has an amazing time. Awesome hotel with good food, views and excellent staff. Keep it up.
