air conditioner didnt work, staff came into room even though we put the do not disturb sign they had a live piano music at breakfast which some people may find charming but at breakfast we found it intrusive

Rooms were very clean. loved the renovations. Staff was very friendly.

Wish you could have renovated the bathrooms as well.

Breakfast buffet was pretty complete. Best to go earlier than later, since it can get crowded. Had a gentleman playing the piano; nice if you are in the mood of piano music amongst a busy fairly noisy breakfast environment.

Service at pool I would rate 'not up to par'. Waitress e.g. took no notes of what we ordered; result 1, forgot one of the two main dishes. When we asked for it she said she forgot and going to order it. When it arrived -filet- was raw but we had asked for medium/well-done. Freak incident: order a cocktail; found and spat out a screw! Probably a loose screw from blender; so wonder if their equipment is serviced or inspected at all...(?) Took it to reception. They also seem shocked.

Near the Waterfront but with an hourly free shuttle. Older building but well maintained. Pretty pool. Good variety of reasonable food at breakfast buffet.

Nice hotel with character, good service, comfortable rooms but should have double glazed windows for the noise. Live piano at breakfast was nice.

Asked for a quiet room when booking, away from road noise, which did not happen.

It was one of our best stays. The hotel has a beautiful heritage look, standing gracefully in the middle of the city. We stayed for two nights, and although the rooms are a bit small, they have done everything possible to make them clean, comfortable, and pleasant.We truly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast had a good variety, and the early check in they offered made our arrival so easy and welcoming.I must mention Shaun in particular. He was an amazing staff member who guided us about the city, suggested places to visit, and consistently went the extra mile. His warm smile and constant check-ins to ensure we were comfortable made a real difference.We had a lovely stay.

Breakfast buffet was excellent. Service was ok. - waited a long time for someone to come and get coffee and tea order

A second luggage rack was needed, the one luggage rack was rickety and wobbly. I expected water to be complimentary the whole stay - it was only on arrival.

The property is not worth the money Very run down since the last time I was there

Very nice hotel, excellent service from everyone. Good restaurant.

The shower kept getting blocked and I had to wait until the water went down. Then, dirt was coming back up the drain and this would stay in the water that was remaining while I showered. There was obviously a maintenance problem. I didn't report this, so I didn't give the hotel chance to react, but I wouldn't expect this to happen in a hotel of this calibre.

Location and breakfast were great. Food at Stella's was excellent. Hotel staff were friendly and eager to please. In all it is a very nice hotel.

We were there for four nights and we had to call for water more then once on a few occasions. Our sheets were never changed. I had accidently left tissues in the bed in the morning and they were still there after the bed was made that night.

The manager front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming , they really deserve the appreciation

There was a group of people using their hands to pickup food during breakfast and when we reported the incident to the supervisor he just said we know and we can’t do anything about it. This was really annoying and unacceptable .

Clean and good size room. Breakfast was good and staff are well trained.

The location is a bit far from waterfront, but there is a free hotel shuttle and Uber is also cheap.

A classy place to stay. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The room was clean and serviced very well each day (twice a day, actually!) The location is good for access to the waterfront.

I was warned about crime in the neighborhood, especially after dark. While I didn't experience any problems, I did feel somewhat confined to the hotel just in case. That wasn't the hotel's fault. In fact, it was a lovely place to hang out!

Very nicely located: short walking distance from the V&A Waterfront and just across the street from the convention centre. Architecture is rather elegant, very good breakfast for a 4 star hotel. Fantastic staff at reception. I’ve got a nice cake for my birthday - very pleasant.

Rooms are not very big - but mind it’s a 4 star, not a 5 star hotel. And the hotel feels a little dated.
