Cons -
- The only downside was the loud music from the birthday event they hosted. It made early sleep challenging since it only turns off at 22:00.
- No complaints.
- The size of the room and bed and were disappointing - for a 5Star one expects and king size bed not double

Beautiful grounds, excellent food, the friendliest and most—accommodating staff. Location was also perfect for touring different parts of Cape Town.
We booked for a normal room for our wedding night, they not only upgraded us to the honeymoon suite for free, they also gave a gift from the staff.
The place was a bit difficult to get into and out but they all round have a lot of space when you already in the place.
Great pool and spa facilities, complemented by an extremely friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is also conveniently located close to the start of the Two Oceans Marathon and I was even offered an early morning transfer to the starting point. A standout surprise was discovering that Gregory Henderson is running his signature restaurant right in the hotel, focusing on indigenous and wild ingredients. I had the pleasure of enjoying a four-course meal that was not only amazing but also very affordable. The casual atmosphere made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
At first, I was placed in a room close to a rather noisy ventilation system, but the hotel kindly offered me a much quieter room for my last night
Loved the hotel! The rooms, the ambience and the staff are just amazing. We had a wonderful stay in the Palm House Boutique Hotel. It’s a beautiful property offering old world charm and luxury, away from the crowds. No queues for breakfast, one is served exceptional a la carte breakfast, with individual attention to each and every guest. There is a school right next to the property which can be a bit noisy in the mornings, other than that this is a great place to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are spacious with lovely views of the mountains and the greenery around. The food is great and the staff are super welcoming and hospitable. We just loved everything about this boutique hotel located in the veterans Wynberg suburb.
The staff were so friendly and professional! The food and service were tremendous!
When doors are closed it can be quite loud.
Beautifully furnished and maintained hotel set in lovely garden. Sparkling pool with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Staff were all exceptionally kind and helpful.
The Shiraz room was magnificent. Gorgeous patio. Fantastic bathroom. The pool was perfect for the kids. The breakfasts were pretty good. A massive thank you to Carolyn and her team for making our stay so comfortable.
Poor internet connection.
Good location and very nice and friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable and very nice. The lady and gentleman from security checking us in were very friendly and helpful.
The staff working the restaurant were not as well organized as the staff working the front desk. They were very nice and friendly but we had to ask them instead of them being proactive.
It’s a lovely small hotel 30 minutes from the airport. The hotel is set within beautiful grounds and has a lovely pool. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much to ask. The breakfast was also incredible and the rooms are very well equipped they even have Netflix! I felt really safe as a solo traveller and I would highly recommend to anyone.
The WiFi was a bit intermittent in the bedroom but otherwise everything was perfect!
Excellent massages and friendly reception staff.
bedside table only on one side of bed. No 2 prong adapters next to bed to charge watch/phone. No heated towel rail. No clearing of dirty cups when turn down of blankets. Safe was at floor level in cupboard, difficult to get down and open/close. Waiter asked to order both muesli and eggs at the same time so that they could prepare, than promptly brought the eggs first, when questioned she said she would bring the muesli later it will keep cold in the fridge!!!!!!!Food at De Tafel restaurant was very well presented but lacked flavour and overpriced.
Amenities, great staff. Lovely room
The food was pretentious and not good at all. Pumpkin bits is soup, naan bread burnt, oily and dense, onion in Malay dish burnt and chicken not tender. Pate dry Breakfast; hollandaise sauce on Benedict sour.
Fantastic hotel and we had booked a suite. This was so spacious and had a huge balcony with great views of the area and pool. Staff were excellent and very attentive. Great huge breakfast. Would certainly return here if visiting Constantia
Very clean, beautiful area, polite staff, but terrible food! Both dinner (for an additional fee) and breakfast were not tasty, for $140 per night - this is bad ? And instead of giving at least some compliment, they still ran after me when I did not pay for m&m for $1.5 through their own fault. They simply forgot to count it right away. Not 5 stars.
Traffic to and from the Hotel is really hectic - there is a school right across the road. So you really had to time it carefully for arrival and moving around during the day. Other than that it truly was an oasis. I also attended the spa which was professional and the massages were amazing. The food was really delicious and a good menu offered for all meals.
The traffic. The kitchen door doesnt close properly so the wind howls a little through it - when you are eating in the dining room it sounds like a leaf blower. I think the staff are so used to it that they didnt even pick it up we kept closing the door. Other than that everything truly was excellant.
This is a beautiful property. The main house is where you take meals . We stayed in a garden suite which was very nice..
On the first evening there we took dinner. The length of time we waited was totally unacceptable and when the meal finally arrived it was of a poor standard. It was a similar experience at breakfast the next morning and in fact the second morning
Comfortable. Wonderful attentive staff and super large warm pool. Very clean and nice decor accommodation
Opposite a school so some noise at drop off and pick up. Also a lot of traffic around the entrance to the hotel at that time. Not enough loungers round the pool
Beautiful Villa in the Constantia region of Cape Town. Nice restaurant and friendly and fortcoming staff. The restaurant is certainly recommendable.
It would be lovely to see some more variety in bread at breakfast as just toasted white an dark on our next visit. It‘s nice to read that the hotel writes that sustainability is important to them, but if this is honestly meant San Pellegrino water from Europe, Aluminium coffee pads in the room or generally products from Nestle are a no go and it would be great if they are avoided in the future.
