Is a very good place to be.

I was initially booked into the incorrect room by error. As soon as i contacted the property, the extremely helpful host immediately assisted and sorted out my query. This was really appreciated.

Nothing. I didn't even stay there. I had to book an alternative accommodation for the duration of my stay. A waste of money and time.

The rooms were dirty. I initially thought because it had said luxury, the standard would be up to par, however I was extremely disappointed with the state of the room.

I did not get the room that I booked, they said the hotel was too full and I had no other choice but to take what they gave me.

Location was very good.

The apartment condition was quite shabby. The curtains were broken and had to be fixed. Windows were not sound proof and I couldn't sleep the first night as I wasn't use to wind noise. Linen was dirty and towel quality was below par. No hot water for most of my stay and despite property manager's efforts, it didn't get fixed till the last day,

Only 2 towels were provided for 4 people. I had to ask, and the response was not friendlyThere was no coffee, sweetener, or milk. I had to ask, and they brought more tea, but no coffee.Bathroom tap mixer in the main bathroom very flimsy and not tightened.Only 1x wineglass and 1x teaspoon, but we checked in for 4 people?What sounded like escape doors to the floors banged during the night at least twice per hour. Difficult to sleep, as we needed a good night's sleep before the Cape Town Marathon (unfortunately it got cancelled at the last moment).A lot of construction is ongoing around the building, even until late on a Saturday afternoon, being very noisy.

Unfortunately this property was very disappointing. I stayed here in 2019 and it was quite nice and for this trip I decided to stay here again. Unfortunately, this trip was not nice and I will not be staying here again.

The internet did not work, there was a very old bug stain in the bathtub. A bug seemed to have died a very long time ago in the bathtub and you could see the existing outline of the carcus. This is disgusting. There were two partial rolls of toilet paper. The space was not very clean and it looked like someone just did a very cursory cleaning of the place. Outside of the room when entering the facility was a very strong smell of marijuana throughout our stay.

The main toilet was not clean and always had a bad odour. The apartment was not cleaned on the second day. Our vehicle was clamped twice even tho we used the parking allocated by reception staff.The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed at Icon Luxury Apartments many times over the years and this was by far the worst. We will return hoping that things improve.

Location was great, easy access. Spacious and easy access to shops etc

The doors and cupboards need a bit of attending to. The cabinetry is not is great shape and door handles are loose

The Icon itself is in an excellent location right between shopping and V&A waterfront 10 mins walk each way, the building was well maintained with 24h security staff, the Apartment was a good size large comfy bed, loads of storage (as usual short of hangers) Oven, mictowave, fridge, auto washer The apartment and landings etc were scrupulously clean and room serviced every day excluding Sunday, Sliding door to small juliet balcony, bur road noise was a problem with it open. Good WiFi

We arrived early 10.00, but no one present at reception and no one aroung to guide us, paperwork stated a baggage room was available but without staff we were left sitting around for 3 hours until security managed to cantact someone to give us the key. The reception was regullally unmanned. The apartments were no smoking but there was a continuous stench of Cannabis and security would not investigate. as above the apartment was quite good but the following points need noting1. The apartment had AC in living room but not bedroom and it did not reach there, as it was in low 30c we had many uncomfortable nights, there was a fan but nowhere to plug in (see below)2. The power sockets are the typr used in the UK in 1940/1950;s so none of the international plug adaptors fit the outlets (see photos) there were no USB sockets in the accommodation and there was a general shortage of suitable outlets.3 The apartment sleeps 2 and was supplied with only 2 of needed items, we had to buy beer glasses and cooking spatula, the equipment was the cheapest money could buy. No bottle opener. No coffee machine or caffitiaire4. The pillows were very poor and the hollowfibre filling had degraded and fallen to pieces in lumps we asked cleaner if they could be changed but told they are all the same. There was no Safe in the apartment meaning we had to carry passport etc when out.5. there was no welcome pack (Water, salt pepper, washing powder/pods, kitchen roll, tupperware containers for fridge, all missing) There was also no Information pack about the equipment in apartment or any info about surrounding areas, Resteraunts, shops buses etc. took an hour to get TV working.6. There were no mirrors in bedroom or living room and the bathroom had no power point for hair dryer, toothbrush etc.7. Finally if you go to Icon (which is good value) take some toilet rolls, the ones provided are ghastly.

Terrible

It was dirty , cushions smelling , the balcony table dirty and sticky. Floors had streaks. Got there before 5 & the receptionist had left. Took the security 45 mins to check us in and he hassled us a tip as if he had done us a favour.

Everything. It's safe. Clean. Friendly staff. Convenient area. Big spaces in your apartments. Quick solutions.

Picking up the key.

The safety element of the balustrade on the balcony and general entry at level 19 (all levels actually) was a bit scary. The Shower was clogged and should have been fixed before we got there. The dishwasher and washing machine were in VERY POOR condition. The lounge had nails exposed. The car spots allocated to us (contrary to advice that cars will be towed if not parked in the allocated spot) were not enforced as the spots allocated to us were consistently occupied with one occupied the entire 5 days we were there.

everything went well. the property is right in the centre. walking distance to V & A Waterfront. the views are amazing

The property is well secured and the security guards are very helpful and friendly.

The apartment 912 was a great disappointment. Apartment is not well maintained. Showers look dirty and old. Extremely unhygienic. Our sheets and pillows cases were dirty 1st night we got there. The couches are stained and look dirty we had to buy throws for the length of our stay there. No bins in the bathroom. The towels were extremely hard and scratchy. I had a Horrific experience. I will NEVER make a mistake and book here because of that particular apartment.
