Perhaps air conditioning in the rooms!

Truly unique and special. The design and concept are beautiful and very impressive. The view from my room was absolutely stunning—I could see Table Mountain right from my bed, which made the stay unforgettable. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was excellent, both for breakfast and dinner, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming.

The only minor issue was that the keyhole is positioned a bit low.

Incredible view from this hilltop hotel in safe residential neighborhood. Staff very helpful and small restaurant for dinner gets high marks.

A funky boutique hotel with large rooms, very comfortable. However a bit dated so don’t expect a modern type room. It may be hard for some people to walk from hotel but Ubers plentiful and inexpensive.

The view and old world atmosphere

Well, could not arrange an hour later checkout. Hotel refused.Also was insulted on walking out, receptionist called me and suggested I did not pay my bill. But I did on reservation.It was embarrissing!

Awesome view uniquely decorated colonial bohemian. Bright smiles from staff. Lunch and dinner a delicious blend of cultures.

The Dorp is Cape Towns best kept secret. Beautiful views, warm hospitality, unpretentious with rooms that make you feel like you in your own home.

Bathroom smells a bit, location makes it hard to get an uber (no one wants to drive up there)

Amazing hotel! Absolutely loved all the finishing touches and the staff were fantastic. View and food was incredible. Also very well located to get to key areas.

The breakfast was beautiful, with freshly made breads, fruit, shakshuka and more every morning. The grounds were gorgeous with perfectly kept gardens and lots to explore. The room was large and comfortable and the staff was helpful and gracious. Couldn't recommend more!

Completely out of the control of the hotel, but the surrounding neighborhood isn't really walkable. Coming and going requires a car or an uber.

This has to be the best location in Cape Town. The views are simply fantastic and the hotel itself is so charming.This is the second time I have stayed here and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else now in Cape Town.The staff are so friendly, the amenities thoughtful, and the food amazing.

We loved it all. Questioned whether we’d been upgraded. From the moment we arrived and the wonderful staff, delicious food, amazing room and views and so hard to tear ourselves away from the comfort everywhere and beautiful gardens

Our stay at The Dorp exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in we knew we were in a special place. Every member of staff at The Dorp was friendly, helpful and gave the personal touch.Location was excellent. A 10 minute walk down to Long Street for the City Sightseeing bus. Breakfast selection was amazing. We ate in the restaurant on our last evening. A wonderful meal, the starter twice baked cheese soufflé was delicious, the only disappointment that we were too full to try the homemade milk tart.We would return to Cape Town as we loved the city and there is so much more to do than we had time for, however we would only return to Cape Town if we could stay at The Dorp.The best hotel we have ever stayed in.

staff , food and interior were brilliant. all staff were amazing, too many to mention, but Ryan and Halif made our stay extra special. the food was outstanding.
