The beautiful grounds and historic building. The rooms are large and comfortable—mine overlooked the pool.
My favorite place in Cape Town every time I'm around. A relaxing place with it's amazing garden. The room is always spacious and clean. The Home Spun (the restaurant) is fantastic. The GM running the restaurant just left the week before I arrived and I have to say that his replacement does an amazing job as well. Really appreciated her personal attention!

Great attention to detail. Everything you wanted and more was Included. From robes and slippers in the room to a free wine & gin bar in the hotel.
I stay here often and love it. Lovely garden, sweet pool, tiny little spa. Very peaceful and relaxed. Feels like you are at home :) they lay out port, rusks, tea etc in the library, staff are SO nice and wonderful.
Not a great breakfast / limited offering. Facilities fairly dated (tiny gym with no WiFi and two small spa treatment rooms but it does the job and staff are great:))
This is a small, 15 room, hotel in a beautiful area of Cape Town. There are common rooms for guest use. The breakfast and other meals are excellent. It was so easy (and inexpensive) to get into the CBD or wharf, etc. for activities but we loved staying at this quiet oasis.
Nothing not to like, staff and hotel are really all you could want. We did stay long enough so that we saw other rooms and it's worth taking your time when booking to get the type of room you like. They are different. That being said, we booked a room but had a glitch with that room becoming unavailable after we'd booked and put a deposit on it. It may be a good idea to check to see that your booking is as expected.
Everything was outstanding - from arrival to departure. A great safe location in the heart of the Southern suburbs. Room was amazing, the staff very friendly and helpful.
The smoke alarm is easily set off and woke me at 5am unexpectedly. This is something that was a negative as it seems to be an ongoing issue.
We stayed here for three nights and had an excellent experience. The staff, especially Daphne, were attentive and kind. The breakfast team was outstanding. Our room was spacious, though some fixtures could use updating. We enjoyed the privacy of the pool. The lounges were amazing, perfect for pre-dinner drinks or a nightcap.Thank you!
Grounds, ambiance, food. Very nice staff.
Locatiion limited a lot unless you had your own car or liked to take Uber. No taxis and a long waY from downtown area.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the buildings and interiors are beautiful and charming!
Would love to see some more vegan friendly options on the menu.
The ice cream and comfortable relaxation rooms and complimentary foods were a luxurious treat. The gardens are beautifully kept and lovely. Accommodation also charming and very neat. The decor was stunning.
There were some tripping hazards around the walkways. It would be good if staff could inform you at breakfast that the items on the menu are included in the breakfast at the outset. I would suggest that glass domes get used to keep foods from drying out and from flies and fruit flies. Some flavoured yogurts would also be nice.
My partner, Sam, and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Andros Boutique Hotel in Cape Town for just under two weeks while on holiday, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was impeccable. The staff deserve a special mention—they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to ensure every need of ours was met. It’s rare to find such personalized service, and it truly elevated our experience. A heartfelt thank you also to Val, the owner, who made us feel so welcome and added a personal touch to our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with each meal being a delightful experience. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, everything was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. On the day we left, we treated ourselves to one of the most relaxing massages we’ve ever had in their spa. It was the perfect way to wrap up our stay and left us feeling completely rejuvenated. The Andros also offers a complimentary drawing room stocked with gin, whisky, sherry, cognac, and wine for guests to enjoy. This was such a fantastic perk, and we certainly made the most of it during our stay!Location-wise, The Andros couldn’t have been more ideal for us. Not only is it situated in the scenic wine country of Cape Town, but it was also conveniently close to my family, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We left feeling relaxed, pampered, and with fond memories we’ll cherish for a long time. If you’re looking for a luxurious, intimate, and welcoming place to stay in Cape Town, we highly recommend The Andros Boutique Hotel.
I fail to think of anything I did not like. The Andros did such an amazing job, and we have been recommending this place to all our friends and family.
The hotel is lovely. Fantastic staff and so many little extras that made it really special.
The only drawback was having people sitting on the veranda outside our room chatting until late at night so that we had to close the windows despite the heat.
ideal location, breakfast was superb. staff very polite and accomodating....room very well decorated and bed comfortable!
When we checked in the lady was very helpful and helped me carry the things in from the car as my husband had to log into a meeting. Room service of drinks and snacks was great.Room was spacious and a good bathroom. The staff were friendly.
The breakfast was limited and did not have much of a buffet selection compared to to other hotels. They were cutting down trees on both Thursday and Friday and the noise was terrible.I tried to sit at the pool but could not because of the noise and the workers. I know work has to be done but not both days? They left our dirty room service glasses and food plates in the room overnight. We were out for a function and came back later at night. They could have easily cleared this away during the turn down service. The dressing gown was marked.
Lots of attention to detail. Loved the various lounges to relax and the wonderful treats scattered around the place. Beautiful breakfast terrace overlooking an immaculate garden.
Gym facility needs revamping. Casual dining room closes at 8pm, then only fine dining available.
The room was large and spacious, with all the necessary facilities and a wonderful bathroom to match it. The dining options were plenty and the in room dinner I ordered was delivered hot and fresh. The staff were exceptional and very accommodating, extremely friendly and provided a very warm sense of comfort and welcome; which is valued as a solo traveler.
Beautiful setting, buildings and garden. On site Ginkgo Spa.
Loved it all!
