Pros +
- This accommodation is simply wonderful. Perfectly located in the most beautiful area of Cape Town, with sea and mountains views, surrounded by several cafes and restaurants. The staff are very attentive, and the hotel is clean and well-organized.
- The fact that we were a block away from the waterfront.
- Large room with great views. Excellent and responsive staff. Great location.
Cons -
- The fact that there is only one lift for guests caused some challenges on days when large groups arrived, but nothing that affected the stay.
- The room did not have shampoo or extra toilet paper. The shower drain was plugged, and the toilet flush leaked. When I reported all this to the front desk in the morning, they said they would take care of it. When we returned nothing had been taken care of but they insisted that maintenance says it is all fine. The first morning when I was telling the front office what was wrong with our room, the front office personnel were more concerned about how I was going to pay for my coffee. I didn;t feel like they were really listening to me.
- We booked a “breakfast included” plan through Booking.com, but it showed as “room only” at the hotel. We were charged for the first breakfast, and while I may have overlooked confirming the details, the first receptionist’s response felt dismissive.Fortunately, the issue was later resolved smoothly — the refund and correction were handled properly, and other staff members were polite and helpful. In the end, everything was settled well, and we appreciated their effort.Overall, a pleasant stay in Cape Town, slightly affected by the initial misunderstanding.

Large room with great views. Excellent and responsive staff. Great location.
Clean Rooms, Good location near the beach. Good Gym, Good sun deck, Good breakfast. Kind staff especially the Butlers (Maombi and his Colleague).
Had to order dinner from outside as the hotel was undergoing renovations. Not adequate supply of drinking water in the room even after making a request. Lack of toilet brush. Bathroom is small. Difficulties during check in (I approved for breakfast to be charged on my account when I checked in, but the next morning I was advised I had not paid for it).
Location friendly staffing great breakfast
Location
・No conditioner, just 3 in 1, poor amenities・Hair dryer didn't work well→asked bring new one→dryer gone →asked at the reception →didn't come forever, back to the room → cleaner came to bring it →the dryer is terrible dirty.・layout is stupidly designed (for both of bath room and around the fridge)・ bed mattress was too soft.
The hotel was great and staff was very helpful and attentive.
I left the hotel 2 days earlier than I initially booked and they charged me for the days that I did not stay. I booked the hotel through booking.com. Booking.com agent spoke with the hotel representative to change the check-out date, but the hotel representative refused.
Great location and facilities
Rooms a bit small but are comfortable
The staff were really helpful and professional. The hotel is in a great neighborhood, close to the beach and some lovely cafes and bars. A truly charming place to stay!
Location. It was close to almost everything.
The hotel had poor quality bath towels, breakfast was an option for the price paid and so was parking. At R70 per day is ridiculous especially when staying at the Marriott. The TV was very small and only had DSTV channels whereas other hotels have Netflix, Disney Plus, etc.
The location is brilliant, right by the prom and felt safe at all times in Sea Point, even walking at night (though not super late!). As a solo traveller, this had been important to me.Rooms are lovely and staff were always friendly and accommodating. A great place to stay!
The water pressure in the showers was fairly dire!
Great location, hotel facilities were great and staff were all really helpful! Thank you
Being in Sea Point , great beds and duvets , the rooftop terrasse for drinks , safe parking
That you have to block an amount on your creditcard if you would like to put payment ( bar) on the room ! They have all my details incl. creditcard and passport and signature -I am not running away and with checkout one can all settle that ! Make me feel like a crimunal to " pay upfront " !! Never had that before !
I booked through booking.com and this booking included breakfast however the hotel repeatedly told me there was no breakfast included. I have queried this with booking.com and have been told the hotel will not resolve this!
Great Breakfast. Perfect location on a quiet street but near the waterfront.
An extra chair in our room. We only had one chair to relax in. Also some more hooks on the walls. Inside the bathroom for towels and in the bedroom area for hanging jackets, etc.
breakfast very good.Excellent location
Biggest problem is that just about every day a large tour bus empties out package tour groups. If you are on the top couple of floors you might avoid the noise.Example 4:00 am departures.Lots of noise. It is a busy hotel.Want peace and quiet I would recommend staying at a smaller hotel. No large groups
The location was great. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel was right at the waterfront, near shops and you could take a long walk.
The room was extremely small. The wash hand basin was inside the room, and the shower was just a cubicle inside the room with no privacy whatsoever.
upgraded to a family room was much better than stnd room
no reading lamp without turning on all the lightd
Location
The rooms are very small we had to upgrade to a junior suite.we had booked a king with balcony , but was very small and the balcony so small taken up mostly with air con units . The swimming pool is more like a plunge pool
