President Hotel

Beautiful property, clean, vibrant and welcoming, kind, welcoming staff.

Breakfast, room were good. Location is excellent!

There was a significant amount of renovation going on at the time - pool and outdoor area was closed. But that comes with the territory for upgrades.

The president hotel was definitely the right place to stay in Cape Town. The hotel is lovely and is in the perfect spot to walk down to the water or over to a near by restaurant. We had no issues parking our rental car or getting picking up by uber. The security made everything feel safe and the staff was extremely accommodating.

Just keep in mind they’re under construction currently resonating their pool so if you’re staying during the week you may hear some construction noise but they never started too early and was always done at a reasonable time. We were there in winter so didn’t really affect us beyond hearing it.

The size of the suite. Full of light, spacious, very good bed, clean. Coffee machine , water, fridge, 2tvs, WiFi, very nice staff.

The gym is too small

The location of the hotel was lovely. The breakfast was very good & Halal friendly. The staff were exceptional.

The cleanliness of the room and balcony was disappointing. The bathroom was dated.

The hotel manager and staff executives were excellent kind and attentive. The kids club was excellent and creative. Swimming pool is a little small and there are not brown chairs in the shade in the summertime. Room 645 is a fantastic room. Recommended issue is at peak season the staff struggle in the daytime and evening During meal times. The breakfast was 24 with more methods I needed in the final half an hour.

So serene and beautiful

Everyone was pleasant to be honest except for the lady black chef (the more older one) making the breakfast eggs, she’s so aggressive. We get it you’re stressed but don’t take out your frustration on guests. She was rude to me 2 days in a row just wow!

The hotel is totally renovated and it looks stunning for a building of that age. The staff is great and made us feel at home, like we were the only guests, for the size of the hotel is remarkable.

Very nice hotel with amazing Atlantic views. But the sun can be very hot. Crossing the street is a little difficult but Regent Road is a great place to find food. Since it’s so close, we felt safe walking back to the hotel at night. Very easy to walk to the Sea Point Promenade (and walk all the way to V&A Waterfront). Really enjoyed the breakfast, lots of food to choose from. It’s also great they had food options for those with early morning excursions.

My friend mentioned one staff member being a little rude, since we didn’t realize we had to check in for the buffet.

We were not informed on the website beforehand that the entire pool and outside restaurant, and patio areas were under construction and out of bounds. It was 28 degrees C ! The hotel also calls some rooms " ocean view rooms" when they are actually minimal, partial side view rooms. The false advertising that the pool is available was most disappointing. We moved to a boutique hotel up the road, and it saved the holiday.

They were renovating so restaurant was closed with paper in windows and o wasn’t notified. They were working on the swimming pool so loud drilling and noise the whole Saturday and can’t really be at your windows because all the workers where there looking up. I was at the restaurant and the cleaner literally came to my table bumped my table and chair on right woth her mop, mopped under my feet then went around and bumped my chair and mopped on the other side, all while I was eating. I was totally shocked. The doorman and reception and waitress was formerly, but very bad experience!!

Location and facilities in general and good security.

Booked it for only a night. I think they got me the worst room in the hotel. Straight in front of the main hall just a corridor with no doors to stop the noise from the lobby, just the door from the room. It was room 116 I think. The hot water kettle add remaining water from previous clients and the shower didn’t had bath soap on the container. Neither the toilet add the paper saying that it was cleaned, maybe not a procedure here but normally hotels of these level have this.

Bathroom clearly needs maintenance. Still not efficient as you hear abnormal sounds when you just use water there.
