POD Camps Bay by The Oyster Collection

I had a great experience at POD. I loved its boutique style and its location, easily walkable to the key Camps Bay sites. The service was excellent and I felt pampered throughout my stay. I would highly recommend staying here again.

The Mountain Views in the room were nice but the main lobby & pool area had partial ocean views. This did not detract from my experience though since you still see enough of the ocean, but is worth being aware of if you are prioritizing views.

The rooms are immaculate. Every detail is thought of. The staff is beyond helpful and friendly. The sunsets from the balcony were stunning!

It’s a beautiful property located right by the beach. The room was very nice. Staff were so friendly and helpful! Sean & Claudia at the front desk were great!

We had such a warm welcome — they even surprised me with a cake and chocolates for my birthday, which I truly appreciated.They offer valet parking, so they take care of parking your car and bringing it back to you.Every request or question was handled quickly and with genuine care. For example, one night we were hungry and noticed their kitchen was closed, so we asked about ordering pizza. Instead, they provided us with pizza themselves. When I asked about a microwave, they simply offered to heat my food for me.The service exceeded expectations — the staff always greeted us warmly, fulfilled every request before we even had to ask, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The cleaners were also kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed, even bringing water and fresh towels before ending their shift.The location is perfect — just across the street from the beach, great for swimming or relaxing, and surrounded by restaurants and cafés.The only thing that didn’t meet our expectations was the pool. We booked the most expensive room on Booking.com with a pool, but the pool was on the ground floor facing the street with no privacy, and no sea view. As Muslims, this wasn’t ideal for us. However, for many guests, this may not be an issue.Overall, the hotel is amazing, and the service is truly outstanding.

Super friendly staff. Really helpful. Breakfast was good and the location was nearby the camps bay beach and lots of restaurants walking distance. It is a short drive to lots locations as well.

The room itself was a disappointment for our expectations and the price of it. The private pool had no privacy at all as it was facing the street and next to the hotel entrance. There isn’t view as well as we were facing a building. The room was also OK but not for the price of it.

Excellent breakfast offering, complete and included fresh fruit, fresh salmon, eggs prepared to your request, staff very friendly and kind. Location was very good as we were close to the beach, restaurants and did enjoy the walk around thearea

The staff are the best I’ve experienced so far, best breakfast.

The room was too small for the price, the private pool wasn’t heated, I met it dirty. I think it’s over priced

Location can’t get any better, a block from the beach, staff were very welcoming and attentive, very clean modern and updated, we loved it so much we booked another day

The team at POD Camps Bay were absolutely first class - they went out of their way with genuine, thoughtful gestures to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms were impeccable and the location great. Having stayed in lots of hotels over the years, they’ve nailed it here. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and luxurious hotel and perfect view from the balcony. Everyone in the hotel were kind and helpful. The quality of service was of a high standard. We would love to return again next time we fly into Cape Town. I recommend the hotel.

Everything was perfect the location, the accommodation and the staff. Could not fault anything.

The location

1. The toilet is in the bedroom. No separate room, nothing. No privacy if you're not traveling alone.2. The balcony with "the view" is overlooking the building in front having a view on someone's window.3. The windows go to the very busy street making you feel like every vehicle passes inside your room.4. The sound isolation is so poor you hear the neighbours snoring.5. The room has a shared ventilation with the kitchen of the restaurant making you and all your stuff smell like fried bacon in the morning.

We stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful views, wonderful staff.
