Pros +
- This place had great breakfast and they also offered Argentinian-style/flavor desserts, if you wanted to try them out. The rooms were quite small but cozy. The staff were super helpful! We struggled with transportation and they were able to get us in touch with a great taxi driver.
- Great staff - Daniel is the best! - very good breakfast with a good selection of gluten free options, and overall very nice environment / design :)
- I had a great stay here—the room was clean, and the staff was hospitable and helpful with suggestions.
Cons -
- Rooms are quite small and we struggled to have two suitcases open. They only had a few fleece blankets to use as covers so it can get cold during the night. Thankfully we stayed on 1st floor, but we did not see an elevator for guests who got assigned to the 2nd floor. The location is very quiet but it is far from Central area so you will need to take a taxi to get around.
- Slightly far from both the bus station, and the town center
- My only small complaint is the location is a bit further out, while close to the bus station, it’s still a slight walking distance, if you’re a solo traveller that don’t want to take a taxi. But it’s not too far, totally walkable, there’s a short cut from the bus station that makes the walk a little more enjoyable. But overall great value for what you get, would recommend for sure

Slightly far from both the bus station, and the town center
Staff was very friendly upon arrival, few places I’ve encounter with English speaking staff. Hotel was well designed, and rooms were clean. Not to mention , the breakfast alone was enough of a reason to revisit, lots of variety and quality food.

Breakfast had a good selection, however there was quite a wait for the hot food to be topped up.
They could have the option for late check out, even at a nominal cost due to the logistics of leaving El Calafate.
Rincon is a short walk into town . The staff were exceptionally helpful . The hotel was spotless with high quality linens & towels . The breakfast was very fresh and tasty .
The sandwiches which could be bought at reception were disappointing - the bread wasn’t great. However the breakfast selection was very good.
Nice rooms and good breakfast. Very cute surroundings. A liiittle far from the center, but still ok. Great wifi A note: please add thick covers in each room, some nights were a bit chilly even with the blanket.
Would have liked a thick cover instead of a blanket
Nice stay, enjoyed the open lounge area to relax. Basic amenities were lacking such as a kettle in the rooms or tea for example. Breakfast was OK.
The owner and the crew are extremely friendly. The dinner was very good and in generous size. A perfect gateway to Torres del Paine national park.
Great value for money. Free parking on site. Quiet part of town but still within walking distance. Satisfactory breakfast.
Rooms were a bit stuffy with bad air flow. Also, very dimly lit.
Staff helpful, early breakfast (needed for 6:30am excursion), good price. Useful snacks for out of hours
Room way too hot on first night and no way to control temperature
Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was okay. Lobby was welcoming, but couches were worn and therefore not that comfortable. We appreciated the water dispenser in the breakfast room.
The staff on our arrival was disinterested in helping us. Other staff were much better. We struggled with heat in our room. (We did not have our own control so couldn’t adjust.) We finally asked the front desk for help, and it seemed better the next morning. The bathroom was seriously out of date and both sets of taps did not work properly. Even something as simple as a toilet seat needed replacing. The location was okay, but was a little further from town than we would have liked. There are no elevators in the hotel, so after being told there was no one to help, we struggled to bring our luggage up a tall flight of stairs. The following day, we see an older couple struggling to bring down their luggage while a young male staffer watched them and finally walked away. We were quite shocked!
Very nice location close to the center of town, but still quiet.
Beds not the most comfortable but fine. Rooms a bit dated, with very limited power option.
Very good place with excellent breakfast. You can walk to Bus station within 12 minutes, city center is also in a walking distance. Wifi was good and stuff responsive.
Breakfast, building
Cold in a room
Lovely staff, great breakfast, nice rooms, very cool community lodge at the entrance. Overall a very round experience and highly recommended in El Calafate!!
everything was really good
Great location close to the town.Comfortable and clean room. Easy check-in and check out. Friendly staff.Breakfast was good. Wi-fi was good. Plenty of parking space if you are driving. We enjoyed our stay.
The tub/shower needs a bath mat to avoid accidental slipping. This seems to be an issue with showers in all the places we have stayed both in Chile and Argentina.
Loved the lobby areas with comfy couches, patio out back and even the dining room (for evening cards) for chilling out after touring days. The look and feel of the grounds and hotel are very pleasing. Excellent varied and hot breakfast in the large dining room. It's a bit of a long walk into downtown, but we two hikers liked that.
I didn't think the exchange rate they used to convert my U.S. dollar quote to a Pesos charge that went on my credit card was fair. Three other hotels in Argentina converted used close to 1055 pesos to a dollar. Rincon converted using 1084. Not sure if there's some standard they're supposed to follow. Would have liked a small refrigerator in the room.
Clean hotel, room was clean, showers were good with adequate pressure and hot water. Not a lot of clear street parking. Staff was helpful, they helped book our taxi to the airport. Breakfast was good with both hot and cold options.
Rooms were a bit small but adequate for what we needed.
Very comfortable room and tasty buffet breakfast with plenty of options. Great wifi and good shower.
In house laundry was very expensive (priced per item) but the "Laundry club" nearby was recommended by the staff and they had excellent service, quick turn around and good prices. Location was okay, a longish walk from the bus station with bags or into town, but not too bad!
