This modern, central hotel is right around the corner from Storgata, Tromsø’s main shopping street. It offers free Wi-Fi, as well as bright and stylish guest rooms. The Polar Museum is 2461 feet away. A mini-bar and TV are found in each guest room at Thon Hotel Tromsø. All feature simple, clean décor, along with a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy a satisfying breakfast buffet in Thon Tromsø’s contemporary dining room. The 24-hour reception staff will gladly recommend area activities and attractions. - Location was great, staff was nice and an excellent breakfast
- Very friendly Service, clean and great staff. Breakfast buffet was fantastic.
- People (employees) were so nice and so helpful, looking up bus schedules, etc. Breakfast includes everything you could possibly want. Great shower. Tromso is beautiful, and people are friendly. Supermarket one block away.
Cons -
- No; please have the sidewalk cleaned in the winter
- It's a basic hotel. Little things remind you----maybe next time book at one of Thon's higher-priced hotels?? E.g., no hooks in the bathroom, window drapes not room-darkening (you find this out at night). But it's definitely a good deal for Norway.
- The room was smaller than expected. Difficult to open suitcases and pack/unpack.
