First Hotel Skansen

The location is very close to the city center and bus stations. It has across the street a supermarket. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The room was very nice.

Convenient location—close to center, walkable to all tour stops, near all bus stops. Super friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast! Great to have a tea pot and tea in the room and always coffee and some cookies downstairs.

Bring your own shampoo/conditioner/lotion. There is hand and body wash provided, but it’s nice to have something more moisturizing for hair and body.

Great location, great beverages at the lobby, great breakfast, great rooms! Breakfast is included which is amazing, given how expensive the food is in Tromso!

Toilet seat was loose and was not able to be fixed during the stay. But it’s not a big deal at all.

Loved the warm beverages next to the entrance, especially the nonalcoholic gløgg. Someone was always at the front desk in case we needed help.

The staff truly went above and beyond and made the stay great! They are the reason we enjoyed ourselves so much. The location is walkable and safe, the breakfast was good and the rooms were clean.

Cozy Christmas atmosphere, comfy bed, fabulous breakfast, the hotel is located on the main street, near all major city attractions and meeting points for the day trips, kind and helpful staff. Many thanks to Emma and the thoughtful tips and recommendations she gave.

Everything was perfect, the room was clean, cosy and have all the facilities we need to do our time perfect, great location, we can walk around the city center in minutes and there are some bus stops very close if we need to go to some other places. 10/10 We also want to say the staff was great very kind and friendly. Breakfast was a great surprise, delicious, fresh and with many options.

Clean and good breakfast

No manager - just young people from out of the country on work visas - seems to be typical in Norway- no professional tourism - ?

No breakfast - though it was meant to be included. I left for an early flight - and forgot to ask for a packed breakfast!Hotel from outside looked scruffy - not easy to find because lack of signage.

the property is near in yacht area and the bridge leading to arctic cathedralthe room is clean their towels smells good and clean too the staff are very accommodating and always on smiling face :)

maybe i call this improvement to provide a floor matt in the toilet specially to keep shower area dry after shower.a disposable slipper would be good too

Better tv choice could have helped

Victoria was delightful. The bed was outstandingly comfortable and the room was clean and tidy with a great view. Breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is just outside the city center, hence location is good. Breakfast is good too since you can find sweet and savoury. Rooms are just renewed and bathroom is functional. Room cleaning to improve.

The location was really good, we were at a five minutes walk from everything and there were several buses stops nearby. The breakfast was good with various choices. The staff was really nice. The only negative point would be the isolation. The hotel was located on the main street so it was really busy and we could really hear traffic sounds. But if you pack earplugs then it’s not a bother. We had a really good stay !

It was central, clean and simple and staff really friendly and helpful and excellent breakfast.

I dont have a dislike, all good for me.
