I loved the lake and the view. The rooms are always clean and staff friendly
The only thing was that the breakfast and dinner was very expressive
The place is very big and nice, the food were over the top. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.
The Wi-Fi was not working, the tv is an old model which leave you with no option but to watch something boring. The bar close at half 9 no music at bar, no games to keep you busy since the rooms have a boring tv.
The facilities and staff were great .. even though they gave us incorrect information upon check-in .. the guy said we have a picnic in the morning … we woke up early because he said he booked us for 9 am..
The restaurant didn’t have a lot of things shown on the menu.. the next day. We ordered a burger only to be told the were no buns … and cause we were hungry . We ordered a burger made with bread n paid full price..it’s crazy to think a four star hotel will have no stock over a month end weekend .
Awesome awesome 2days... The location is the main attraction... The serenity around the river you can hear your thoughts. Thank you
The food at the restaurant. But otherwise everything was top notch.
I liked the views of the place and the very welcoming and friendly staff.
Some of the activities shown on the advertisement were not available at the venue.
I liked the egg hunt activity... The kids loved it. The food by Chef Khumalo, the staff and the security guards.
Not sure if i understand the idea of not having a fridge. I mean for some people this might be an issue especially if you staying for long and need to keep your meds in a fridge for example. Not sure if this is available as Optional.
The friendly staff and the lovely atmosphere
The guy who does eggs and omelettes in the morning was so rude, he gave us raw eggs even though I asked for well done and he said they are fine
It was a very good location for us - thank you .The only thing missing was an outside chair & table , the hotel is located in a bird sanctuary & there us no where to side down outside of the rooms - this was extremely surprising given the outdoor lifestyles we lead . Please make amends here!
Location
Breakfast overpriced for what’s on offer , so chose to eat breakfast elsewhere for the next 2 daysDinnersRan out of chicken strips / schnitzel/ steak / mushrooms for Friday night / Saturday night you could get chicken strips for the buffet but not as a separate meal, ( felt like we were staying at faulty Towers)Offered me pork rib eye instead of steak then served me badly cooked T bone steak.Food coldVery disappointing for the table of 12 as we just had to accept meals we didn’t really want but had to make the best of a bad situation and pay a premium price. My family of three spent a average of R 900 per night for below average meals.Wi-Fi Was told there was WiFi in the room It was not working, when I queried this was told that some of the rooms don’t get WiFi, simple to tell the guests up front that their rooms don’t get WiFi
Passable
The walls are super thin, my neighbours were having a massive jol till 3am. Had to ask security 2 times to go out. Neigbours were spitefull and actually increased the noise. Although the facilties clean and modern (renovating). I would not stay there again.
The facility was good, and the dam view was an excellent experience. The room was neat, and the lady at the reception was so welcoming The buffet breakfast was very nice
The buffet dinner was not nice. It needs a whole lot of improvement. From the menu to how the food that was prepared you need to improve, the only thing that was delicious is the beef stew.
Spacious Room and good location
The bedding was dirty on arrival and it was not changed the next day and when I looked under the bed there were old cookie wrappers. The tap at the bathroom basin was broken and loose. There were a lot of food and drinks not available, but advertised on the menu.
It was great , the place was quiet and peaceful ,just what we wanted ,the staff was friendly and helpful ... the nature was amazing and calming , always a cool place to sit
I would be great if the place did inspected the room before we arrived ,seeing it had a smell to it ,needed so fresh air did not like that the only place we could buy food was at the restaurant
Comfortable room. Easy access. Staff a pleasure
Frogs and frog poop in the room.
The reception was clean and new
Our room was old, dated and smelled of dampness. It also had an old carpet which contributed to the strong musty smell. We booked two rooms and both of them smelled musty. We booked two room for 3 nights but couldn’t stay there. The General manager was kind to offer us a newly renovated room which was lovely but it had a very strong oil based paint smell. We ended up staying somewhere else and lost our money on the room. As the booking was final.
The place is not well mentained our garden view was a disgrace
The view at the lake
Customer service from a lady named Tebogo at reception. Due to the place not being up to the standard we saw and anticipated, the room was uncomfortable and it did not feel like a nice couple outing. As much as the room booked was a standard room, we were given an old room without a welcoming feeling at all. On Saturday, we decided to leave before the checkout date(Sunday). Tebogo offered to move us to another room which is the newly renovated(it was absolutely beautiful). We however had already left the place mentally, thus declined the offer. Her customer service skills are excellent. It was concerning how there is such rooms but the establishment allowed the old rooms to be used by guests.
