- It’s was value for money and very clean and comfortable with modern amenities
- Gorgeous views. Exceptional staff! Rooms were very comfortable! Wonderful breakfast!!! Bar and bartenders were top notch!! Highly recommend. Spa was fantastic!
- This place is beautiful. Great place to go to relax. Shadrek really took care of us. Making sure we had what we need. Sang happy birthday which was a lovely surprise. The food was delicious also.
Cons -
- The Smart Tv Apps in the Executive Suite didn’t work and there was no remote to change the DSTV channels
- The bed was uncomfortable. It felt like it had an electric blanket that made the bed not be smooth. The couch looked good but just old and basically worn out (sinks in when sitting).
- The spa treatments were not the greatest - my wife had the Collagen Revitalise facial and the therapist hurt her while taking off the mask, and didn't even apologise.

Kenny welcomed us with a big smile, and was very attentive throughout our stay. The dinner was really special, and Tristan looked after us so well in the Wine Cellar. The room was nice, but there are a few maintenance issues that could easily be addressed. The breakfast was good, tasty and served in great surroundings.

What a great find! This was my first trip to Pretoria and hence I was apprehensive over finding nice accommodation. The reviews for Apogee are very accurate and I cannot but praise the friendliness of their staff, the comfort of the room, the splendour of the grounds and view, and the fantastic menu that it available at the Tribute Restaurant.
Nothing at all
From our arrival till the end: helpful and discrete staff; We had twice dinner there - I can highly recommend it. The included minibar and free consumption at the study are great. Very tasteful and comfortable equipped and furnished. Excellent Room.
there is no Gym.
This place was great. The staff were amazing and the room was cool.
Old breeze in the dining room and the green pool I was hoping for a swim!
Great stay, good service, comfortable beds, beautiful views.
We were treated like absolute royalty! The staff were incredible, always went out of their way to keep us happy. The suite was absolutely beautiful and the view just amazing
The only problem was with the spa, it was difficult getting in touch with the spa to make an appointment
It's not the first time we have been at the hotel, and we are happy returnees The staff is amazing, the massage is absolutely amazing.Super clean and the Dinner at the Restaurant at the highest levelIn summer, the pool facility is outstanding with the view over Pretoria
Beautiful hotel and rooms are stunning, with views over the city.Staff were amazing, professional, friendly, attentive. Special thank you to Kenny who went above and beyond to offer excellent service.Lovely evening meal in their restaurant.Easy to get to from motorway, close to restaurants and shopping mall
Previously we had received a selection of breakfast items, fruit, juice, yogurts, cheese, pastries and a cooked option. We now had juice, coffee and to choose one option from a menu, (cooked or yogurt/oats) but what we had was tasty and nicely presented.
The breakfast is very limiting though at least have some cereals and fruit platters for the clients to nibble during breakfast. Breakfast worth 200 only limited to one meal and coffeee no.
The breakfast could have been buffet or at least add mini platters and cereals.
From the moment I arrived until I left, I was well-tended to. Each staff member from the security guard at the gate to the butler at the door were well-trained in their area. Shadreck who works as a butler went above and beyond in his duties. One evening he brought one of my visitor's cars around in the pouring rain. He had a few of my items steam cleaned and was always upbeat and cheerful in our interactions. I also enjoyed access to the 24/7 pantry although some of the desserts were not fresh. The property itself is peaceful although I expected a slightly more dramatic pool and view of the city however, I went there to rest and that is what I got. It was a seamless experience.
The balconies that look out onto the city are in real close proximity to one another so it did not feel very private. A few of the tall trees on the property obscure your view of the city so a bit of rebranding when advertising the rooms might be necessary (please do not cut down the trees, just manage guest expectations). No umbrellas in the rooms for days when it pours down.
The grounds are well kept and the view is spectacular.
I would not describe this as a five star hotel but rather an upmarket guest house. The rooms are beautifully decorated with large showers. The staff are extremely helpful but it lacks the slick management of a five star hotel. Snacks are available for guests in the pantry in the evenings but did not appear to have been regularly refreshed. One morning at breakfast the staff insisted on payment at the table rather than accepting the normal practice of five star hotels of adding it to the final payment for the stay.
Palatial decor and located in a safe and tranquil location.
A number of the staff were rather rude, on my penultimate day I had placed an order for room service for breakfast which was 30minutes late and this delayed my outing that day. I telephoned the butler/room service and the kitchen more than 6 times and these calls were all ignored and upon going down to the restaurant to explain I would happily eat in the restaurant there was no apology and I was humiliated by waiting staff giggling and jeering that all of my calls had been ignored, they seemed to revel in their incompetence and were within earshot of me. It was a very upsetting experience for me. I should also note that there were a number of flies in the restaurant area which was extremely off putting whilst eating. I was forced to order uber eats for my penultimate day and the morning of check out prior to my flight. Although I paid all charges associated with my stay the evening prior to checking out I was assured by reception that I would be emailed an itemised bill via email the following day and this was not available that evening , this did not happen and I could only double check my charges on the reception laptop… utterly ridiculous and sloppy service. My personal information such as my middle name (only visible on my passport) was discussed amongst waiting staff who asked me direct questions about my country of origin and which country I reside in. All of these questions are ordinarily very normal conversation starters, however, I felt extremely uncomfortable especially as a solo traveller that a waiter I had never set eyes on knew my middle name… extremely disconcerting.I had arranged a late check out for my final day and although this is almost always subject to availability and usually a charge (in any hotel) I was simply told I could check out later than 10:30am. It was only when I telephoned reception prior to check out that I was informed there was a substantial charge.
The staff is very welcoming and attentive. We had some specific requests, and they accommodated us without any issues. The meals are delicious and the menu offers a good variety. The rooms are very tastefully decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The coffee station in the rooms offers a coffee machine, fruit, and even a welcome gin and tonic. A pantry is open to all guests with a selection of books to read as well as some very delicious snacks. The view of
By far the best service we have ever recieved from any hotel. The staff was on another level of professionalism and i think ( my business included) can definitely learn from them on how to treat and handle clients. Well done to management and ownership on what you have accomplished. It was the best way we could end the year.
The staff were incredibly friendly and very accommodating, especially Floyd and Queen. The rooms are spacious and very well decorated with gorgeous views of Pretoria.Such beautiful grounds and their restaurant had a great menu. Everything we tried was delicious.
So clean, friendly staff, modern and beautiful
All fine well appointed
Didn’t appreciate having to pay for restaurant bill and not being able to put it on my bill especially since I had paid for the room in full. It’s very clumsy having the staff running around to other staff members, presumably management, checking on the status of my booking. For the rate you charge and the reputation of the hotel it was all a bit amateurish
