    Pros +

    • The location was great! Near UP and next to my daughter's Hostel
    • Location was great, View of the surrounding city was breath taking, TV in the room was a little small, but other than that, it was a great stay
    • The room was comfortable, and clean. A little small for 4 nights but it was fine. Restaurant - supper one evening, food was good, but service was very slow. Room Service one supper - very slow. Food again was good just took a very long time. Did not have the wine I ordered which was not a huge problem. Ordered white wine which came fairly cold, but no ice provided. I should have asked but assumed it would be provided as they did in the restaurant.

    Cons -

    • I was 1st given a room whose AC did not work. It actually blew hot air. The room was also very tiny and was on the western side of the Hotel so it was very hot and crumbled-up inside. I spent two very uncomfortable nights there, until I complained and was given another room. Thankfully the latter room was good, but I had to upgrade and pay 200 Rand extra!
    • The bathroom was not to spacious.the bed was a sinlge bed but had 2 mattresses on it and one could feel the seam in the centre.
    • Room a bit small. No outside area to sit, but I guess being city centre not really the place for it.

The staff are generally very welcoming, caring, and attentive. They help me with numerous questions, confirmations, and additional requests. Special thanks to Sibo, Ana, and the gentleman at the bar. I will definitely come back and recommend this to all my colleagues. The food was excellent, and the staff were respectful.

The Wi-Fi was somewhat unstable, and I needed a reliable connection for my work. However, after reporting the issue to the hotel staff, they immediately fixed it.

it was a night mare being told every day tomorrow there will be no accommodation for me

The reception from staff on check in desk was very unprofessional. informed our bookings were cancelled and made to pay afresh for accommodation which I had already paid for through Booking.com. Two days to the end of the trip Booking.Com payment was deducted from my Visa card and I confronted the hotel management that is when they accepted that I had booked earlier and agreed to refund what I had paid a second time. Though a refund was made back to my Visa card on 8th October 2025 the funds are yet to reflect on my account.

I liked the fact that there's also a bat on the ground floor and it's closer to shops

WiFi coverage was poor it kept disconnecting & you could also install smart TV's pre-installed with Netflix and then we can use our logins as customers

Accessibility, friendly, young (succession planning) and helpful staff.

Please replenish towels, they have seen better days.

The receptionist Kabelo was amazing. Very excellent and professional young man. He made eveything great for me. He organised a better room to suit my Disability and did everything he could to make me comfortable. Bradley was also so helpful and assisted me out and in the car. He takes his Job serious and I appreciated him.

The facility does not have Wheelchair Friendly rooms. It is really bad for you not to cater for disabled people. It is not expensive to convert room to disabled rooms. Able boy people can use disabled rooms but disabled people cannot use normal rooms. Please fix it. it is a risk because one could get hurt.

Bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were super accommodating, especially since the hotel was 100% full. I am disabled and they went out of their way to assist in any way possible. Also, our plane was delayed, so we checked in 2 hours later than expected and they were super friendly.

the location was so convinient for me. near by restaurants, bars and the mall. i also liked the fact that i couldnt hear any noise from outside when i was in my room. until i would go the balcony and realise how noisy it was outside. i know it sounds silly .

Every thing was amazing, the staff is the best both teams working day and night shift... Very friendly staff from front desk, cleaning, restaurant and the chefs.

    Proximity to UP.

While the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the beds were exceptionally uncomfortable (rooms 6112 and 6114) and extremely old. The pillows came out of Noah's ark! The shower mat was not replaced on room clean so we had to use a hand towel instead. The noise of people running up and down the passage unchecked in the middle of the night and my phone ringing at 2am was totally unacceptable. The fire alarm was also set off at some stage. I did not feel safe after being accosted by drunk patrons in the lift on both nights. We ate a la carte on the second night - the buffet did not look very appealing - an I believe was over priced for what was offered - R285 for chicken feet and pap! The chicken schnitzel and beef burger were good. There was no mention on the menu of peppers (jalapeno specifically) being included in the chicken mayonnaise so the teenager who ordered it was unable to eat it.

    Bar and dinner

Check-in was sketchy - said we were upgraded but room was very small and the door to balcony was not secure.

The staff responded fast to requests

The carpets looked a bit unclean. There was a time housekeeping did not refill the showergel and the sanitary pads bag and it was really an incovenience. Also the water in the hand basin took too much time to be drained as if there was a blockage

I love this place so much, it is safe to consider it as my second home now (laughs). The staff has to be the best: from the beautiful, smiling souls at the front desk (Tshegofatso, Bongi, Matshidiso, just to name a few), restaurant, and house keeping; the best! The hotel is located at close proximity to the Hatfield Gautrain station (a street away), multiple fast food joints such McDonald's, Mochachos, Wimpy, etc and others stores necessary for getting convenient necessities (Click's, MrPrice, Sportscene, Van Skyk)There's a designated parking which is gated and shuttle services convenient for everyone travelling to/from the airport.I got upgraded to a superior room which had a Comfortable bed, clean sheets, spacious shower with hot water, a safe for safe storing of my valuables, functional phone, proper lighting, a working desk, multiple charging points and a balcony that gave me a limited view of the city and allowed me to bask in the rays of the sun in the morning.

That I had to eventually check-out ...oh man?
