Pros +
- Clean room absolutely NOTHING ELSE.
- I got an unexpected upgrade of room with my own shower, this was really relieving after a long day riding my motorbike. Thank you very much for that. It's appreciable to have the box system to get the keys, we can take the room late, we're not pushed by the time.
- Low-cost and no-frills Motel-type place; good for 1 night on trip out of Trondheim (towards Oslo, Ålesund or Hitra/Frøya). Important part for the positive evaluation is price/quality relationship, and the very prompt help I got on checkin when I arrived at almost 3am and realised I had not received the sms with keylock code (although it was sent by Sandmoen).
Cons -
- Worst place in Norway. Solely because their registration/check-in process is HORRIBLE. We paid in advance, but did not receive the necessary lock box code to retrieve our room key, we called all day. (four+ times) to get code, but their phone was (obviously) off the hook (+47 455 11 676 booking.com), sent them a message through booking.com that we would arrive around 7:30 pm) never received ANY response, got there after an 8-hour drive exhausted only to find their phone again OFF-THE-HOOK, reception closed, and unusable # presumably to call for help (photo avail) scrawled on a blackboard, NO ON SITE hardwired phone to connect guest<>reception or ANY STAFF MEMBER, NO INTERCOM, NO BELL, NO SIGN OF LIFE... at all.The ONLY reason we didn't have to sleep in our car was a very nice Norwegian guest who had a different number and let us use his phone. The "Bed & Breakfast" breakfast was a red ticket sending us to a gas station "deli" serving the worst of gas station prepackaged shlock, one cup of coffee and juice. The only saving grace was the deli staff.
- It's nice to have the coupon and take some things to eat for the breakfast at the gas station nearby but maybe a little upgrade will be nice ;)
- Although I generally don't mind shared bathrooms for short stays, in this case it was in another building (10m away though, but in pouring Trondheim rain this doesn't help). Mostly I was annoyed it was only OINE SINGLE BATHROOM for at seamingly 4 rooms. In the morning I was in a rush and needed urgently to go to the bathroom, and a man walked in 10 seconds before me and stayed for more than 10min. This situation is very strongly sub-standard and should be corrected or made very visible in the reservation step!!

Booked last minute due to change of plansStaff were very friendly and let me check in about an hour earlyRoom was great Breakfast was very good and had smoked salmon. Room had good heatingVery easy access to public transport. Grocery shops within 10 minute walk.Good blinds to keep bedroom darkStove provided in my room. Overall id stay again
Shower was a little small and no elevator to get upstairs but this is a very minor thing so not too bad at all.
Close to work and decent breakfast. All that I ask of a work hotel.
No staff on hand but self check in went well and for a motel it was perfect.
Good breakfast Good people
The weather was just bad.
Everything was perfect! The host is super helpful, kind and professional. Also, breakfast was provided. I would defo recommend it and, if coming back to the town, book it again.

The room was alright
The key box mix up (they put another customers key in your “private” box) was confusing. I was supposed to have a shared bathroom with my room so I thought the extra key in my box was the key for that door, however when I called and asked about the confusion the lady was rude and told me to put the other customers key back in the box which I did. I spent 20 minutes to find my room as they had changed it without informing me in advance. I travelled with my uncle and he didn’t understand this as well, as he also got an extra key in his box for his room. I have never experienced anything like this before and I have traveled the world. Petrol station breakfast which is served only during the weekends was not worth the money.
Incredible breakfast
Small shower if you're broad-shouldered and the doors don't quite keep the water in so it kinda floods the bathroom
An unexpected flat tyre discovered just before departure messed up our plan. We were a bit lost, being foreigners in an unfamiliar location. Nina, the extremely kind hotel staff helped locate a garage and drove me and the removed flat tyre to the garage. She even waited to drive me and the tyre back to the hotel. So we could quickly get onto our journey again. A frustrating morning turned into an unforgettably positive experience by a nice lady from the property management.
Reasonably convenient for the airport. Very clean.
Very cramped. No coffee maker and no toaster in the apartment (although I believe such facilities are available at certain times in a common area).
That I had to wait for 2 hours to actually get in to my room I booked 8 hours before was very refreshing, specially after driving for 8 hours.
Everything
Overpriced, unsafe, unclean and unsatisfactory
Breakfast was very poor. We were there at 6am and the food that was available was definitely leftovers from the day before and maybe even the day before that!! The only good thing was the coffee machine. We got little to no sleep because of the birds nest that was the roof above our bedroom, the constant barking from dogs and also the feeling of uncleanliness. Definitely not safe for children with poor electrical wires and old falling apart furniture.
The big apartments
The area and a bit the quality. It was nice that the breakfast is included.. but there could be some improvements in quality and freshness
Nice room and very helpful staff
uncomfortable bed
Atherwise good place
Coffee milk missing The rooms
Breakfast
I booked a room with a kitchen (in the text and photos), I was given a simple room (automatic check-in). The bathroom sink is so small and embarrassing that you can't even wash your face or teeth.
The room was clean
Breakfast was not included, only a voucher for sandwich at nearby petrol stationThe room was in a shed in the middle of the car parkA additional payment was required use the showerDid not feel safe for a single female needing to cross the car park in the night to use the toilet, therefore moved to different hotel
Bad
Room was unprepared (dirty bed, sheet was on sofa, dirty towel, wet shower), we must clean and change sheet for ourselves. Some important information are missing here, like that on weekends you have breakfast at the gas station (very bad breakfast). Shower is for one use, because all bathroom is flooded after use. Also hot water is only for limited time, if you are second person you will have colder water. We choose room with separated beds, did not happen. Some other details like unfunctional light, pornography on TV etc.
Friendliness of the receptionist.
I have stayed at this hotel before, where breakfast was served in the same place. Now they give us a password to go to Esso during the weekend and within certain hours. Really bad!!!
