Breakfast

We got the two separate beds in our room that we asked for. However one of the beds seemed to have a bid dip in the middle of it from one end to the other end. It made sleeping uncomfortable.

The bed was super comfortable & the pillow was the best. The breakfast variety was huge & delicious. I was pleased & surprised to see weights (to work out with) in the room. We ate in the bar both nights & the food & service were excellent.

It was a bit tough walking on cobblestone much of the way from the train station. Also our bathroom was very small.

Location

Small, stuffy room and extremely hot. No fan, noice ventilation outside.

Staff friendly and helpful. Location excellent. Breakfast delicious. Well-priced.

Some of the downstairs area with the pub was less attractive.

The shower pressure was great! The breakfast was pretty good as well. The location was excellent.

The room was quite hot, so we had to leave the terrace door open...very bright in the room while trying to sleep. Tons of noise outside the hotel that was very loud, difficult to sleep.

Wonderful hotel centrally located in the main square of quaint Kalmar. Outstanding breakfast, and very nice spa facility. limited parking at hotel, but plenty of municipal lots just a few blocks away.

Very nice overall. No complaints.

Nice SPA, good location, breakfast is great. Restaurant and pub downstairs with convenient working hours. I liked the interior of the room. Beds were extremely comfortable.

Fan was a bit too loud and rotation wasn't working, no air conditioning.

Breakfast room: one was cozy but dark, the other one full of stains on the carpet and uncomfortable, chairs uncomfortable, loudOur room had a defective shower that flooded the room, room was loud and dark

The location is exceptional. The breakfast was also excellent.

We had to bring bags up a few steps to our room. Not a problem for us - just make sure if you can’t do any stairs that you get a room with direct elevator access. There are many.

Clean rooms and super helpful and friendly staff. Great location and wonderful breakfast.

The location is central and perfect. Close to the pedestrian areas and restaurants. The service, cleanliness and buffet are all great.

Sound insulation is poor, especially on the Stortorget side. And they know, ‘cause earplugs are provided as standard ;-)And personally I don’t like the Nordic habit of putting 2 separate single duvets on a double/king bed: what’s the use of having a large bed when you have a tiny duvet?

Everything was great! Great location, service and breakfast. The bed was super comfortable as well.

Exceptional

The sauna was not suitable for my boys (7 and 9). This was not stated in the website before booking

Historical hotel in the heart of the town.Restaurant and bar open late, splendid free spa, parking. Big breakfast room and plenty of choices! nice comfy and quiet rooms. Great place for work meetings!

Nice interior and friendly staff, generally very good experience!

An elevator squeaking could be heard across the wall, hopefully it is repaired soon after our stay.
