Scandic Kalmar

I had a great stay in this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful . The room was clean, comfortable, and well-cared.. The atmosphere in general felt relaxing and pleasant. I really enjoyed the quality of the service and would gladly stay here again. Recommended.

The hotel was very well equipped and clean. We booked Scandic because it is pet friendly and the staff were so kind to our big dog - even giving her a little gift bag for her stay.

The property was very good for a transit hotel, plenty of space . The location (for us), wasn’t good, however, but that’s not a fault of the hotel. We were in Kalmar to support our son in the IRONMAN, and without a car, it was too far out.

Ease of access

No air conditioning. The room wrecked of smoke.

Nobody advised us at check in that we needed to request getting our room made up every day!!!We only found this out on the evening of our first full day, and I instructed reception that I wanted the room made up for the full six day duration of our stay.However, we were rather disappointed to discover, on the evening of our last full day, that the room hadn’t been made up again.A 66% success rate is not really acceptable ?Add to this, cups that were taken away and not replaced! ?‍♂️??‍♂️

Stay was good

There were less wardrobes or cupboards to keep things. We tried to keep the 2 single beds together. but beds were moving.Buffet Breakfast - could have more options for Non-Meat lovers. Scrambled Eggs were not prepared properly. It was watery.

Close to the highway, have small pool, sauna and gym.

No kettle or fridge in the room, need to wait for waiters in the restaurant for quite long time. A little expensive for the quality

The friendliest dog friendly hotel ever! We received a doggie welcome package which included bowls, treats, dog towels and sheets. The room was clean and nice and there was a nice large yard to walk the fur balls. There was a pool, sauna, tennis courts and entertainment rooms. Definitely staying there again!

Breakfast was nice with pancakes. There was a sauna and a pool. The location was easy to reach by car.

The hotel isn't at a walking distance to the city. Some trouble with door locks and missing towels by the sauna.
