They were were very friendly and assisted with getting our laundry done expeditiously.

Large room in central Kalmar. Be aware that you have to park a bit away from hotel since most central street are for walking and cycle. The bed was comfy and the breakfast buffet excellent, very good quality. Wifi good. The hotel building is very old but tastefully re-decorated.

We arrived around 22 a weekday night after a long drive and the bar was closed. Probably not the hotel’s fault but the strict hospitality rules in Sweden

Location, friendly staff

No hotel parking and had to pay for city parking not conveniently located. Arrived later in the evening so we were not able to pull up close to hotel to drop off bags. No one had shared that this was going to be the case.

It has lots of charm and character. We stayed in such a bright and airy corner room with large windows and tall ceilings. Excellent location and had everything we needed. Nice breakfast. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind.

Parking was hard but the front desk person was extremely helpful with this matter.

Kalmar is a beautiful little city. It is old so it is confusing to get around. The hotel is in a cool historic building in the heart of the old town on a square. Good people watching. I was on the second floor. It was easy to take the stairs right next to my room to get to the lobby.

There is no parking, which is understandable but be prepared to walk several block for a parking spot - on the other side of the train station so you had to walk around it. I arrived on Sunday and the dining room was not open that day which surprised me.

Location and staff.

A constant horrible whistling sound that went on and on... And there was no one at the reception to complain about it. No shampoo and conditioner in the toilet, just a ' universal ' shower gel. Cheapest toilet tissue possible. But at least the staff provided us with shampoo and conditioner after we asked for them. There was no kettle in the room and the bed was not the best.

Great room, nice staff, and easy key drop check out. Out of hours arrivals are managed well based on my experience

airflow wasn't the greatest. we did use the fan, but didn't open the window after we found a large spider in the inner window.

Everything is basic but everything works well. Homemade jams for breakfast.

Openings of the windows are not easy. The room needs circulation of fresh air.

Perfect location. Historic building full of character. Friendly and helpful staff.

One of us is a vegetarian - for which the restaurant didn’t cater well from the menu. But a very minor quibble and in fairness the restaurant was selling itself as beef/steak oriented so we knew what to expect! And there were plenty of other places to eat.

the room was extremely dirty our feet got black when walking on the floor. We did also report this to the staff, but nothing changed. We extended our stay for one night and still the room did not get a good cleaning.

Both breakfast and location were awesome. Luggage room secure which we appreciated. Nice touch with coffee and cookies available whenever we wanted. It felt cosy and the room was very comfortable with lots of reading lamps and a cosy chair.

Wifi was patchy in our room but great across the hall.

Easy walk from the train station. Staff was young and not all were experienced.

The room was "old" serious updating needed. The towels were threadbare and when we checked in we were not told that our room, which faced the square would be noisy. I should have registered that when I saw earplugs on the bedside. I realised that it is a "historic" hotel - but shame on Best Western - they failed on this one.
