Crystal Palace Hotel

Great value for money and location. We stayed in a room for three people with good air conditioning.

The hotel only has old cardio equipment and no gym, and parking is available at another affiliated location.

Good breakfast nice rooms.

Dated technology. Old TVs and Internet was unreliable.

Clean quiet comfortable

This hotel was fine for a one night stay. The lobby looks very nice. The staff were not exceptionally welcoming. The rooms have seen better days but adequate for our needs. The breakfast was actually pretty good for such an inexpensive hotel.

It looks like maintenance is sadly lacking. Otherwise a good place to stay. Great location, clean.

Dropping off / short term parking situation in front of the hotel a bit unclear. Long term parking around the block.

Our stay at this place fully met our expectations, especially considering the price. The location is excellent, practically in the very center, making it a great base for exploring Montevideo with a group of friends.

However, what we didn’t like was the view - or rather, the lack of it. The cleanliness of the bathroom ceiling could also be improved.

Great place in the center of town. Lots of nice stores and food. Centro is not the most amazing part of the city - but it is a great hotel. Amazing value for money.

The bed was confortable and you can reach a lot of tourist attractions by feet.But i didn‘t like the fact that some of the employers don‘t seem to know how to say „Good Morning“, „Good evening“/ simply request.The room, specificely the bathroom wasn‘t really clean when i arrived , the fridge didn‘t really work and the wifi doesn‘t work very well in room 509!You can hear every noise on the floor and Sommetimes even the télévisions of the other rooms.Breakfast is till 10:30 - but sometimes there is no fruit salad or coffee anymore at 09:10!

Room not clean, staff unfriendly, bedroom & bathroom dated. Noise from adjoining rooms. Advertised as a view, but brick walls! WiFi kept cutting out

Needs a renovation. Shower and toilet is a travel to the 80s. Need to flush several times for the WC to actually work. Staff is moody and forget about add ons like a coffee maker or staff that says ‘welcome’ or ‘enjoy your stay’

The location is very good. It is right in the middle of the center of Montevideo. Everything interesting ist witthin walking distance. We had a nice and quiet room with big windows. There was enough space for a table and chairs to sit at. The breakfast buffet was good. We enjoyed the fresh fruitsalad and the juices.

The downside we're the beds. As they had rolls, they we're moving as soon as someone was turning. And the mattresses we're too soft. We did not sleep very well.The staff was okay, but not overly friendly. And they made a mistake: another couple got the same room assigned. So we got unexspected visitors in our room during nighttime

Nothing really, we felt miserable!

I've traveled to over ninety countries and this is one of the worst hotels I've been to, not because of the place itself but each and every employee who works here -- and I've met 4 -- are the least helpful (and in one case, outright rude) I've seen. They never smile, even by mistake, and even though Booking.com gave me a $9 breakfast for 2 on my booking, they insisted that I pay $9 per person. This is AFTER I showed them live Booking.com app page and a screenshot of my email. They said it was a mistake but didn't want to give us that $9 back. It's mindboggling. Plus, they didn't allow us to stay even a minute late, when we were ready to pay for an extra two hours.

The beds were super comfortable.

The breakfast was very low quality and I didn’t like the fact that the toilet was extremely close to the shower

Breakfast great and the customer service was just spectacular. They have us great advice on where to go to dinner and partbof town not to go at night.

Maybe the early checkout time only. The only thing I would complain about.

The dinner restaurant ( same as for breakfast ) looks more like a cafeteria - for sure not cosy or elegant, and it opens not before 8 PM. So we went elsewhere all 4 nights for dinner.

The position right in the center of the city, the staff was helpful and nice
