    Pros +

    • The location was great! The breakfast was good.
    • Great location
    • Not really worth the money. It’s a really old hotel with an awful bathroom and the facilities are really old.

    Cons -

    • The beds were very firm, the pillows were a flat foam. The air conditioner sounded that we were having a hurricane outside. There was a sewer smell in the lobby and some times in our bathroom. At breakfast we had to ask for more coffee, coffee cups, drink cups and milk daily. The elevator was tiny and there was only 1 for 12 floors. They didn’t use room keys or swipe cards, they had key pads on each door. Which you could hear all night even with the loud A/C.
    • The room is basic and somewhat dated. The Wi-Fi connection in the room was unreliable.
    • It should be worth less for what it is

Spacious bedroom, very comfortable. Has sink, microwave, big balcony etcElevators are big and new.

Bathroom has no box. You shower and flood it up.You could feel a certain bad smell on the reception somedays.

    Location

Noise from guests throughout the floors and walls. No quiet times at night.

Rests of poo in the toilet and a giant cockroach upon arrival. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!We had to call the reception twice, one for the faeces to be cleaned, and then another for the cockroach. As in any hotel, you’d expect a full refund and arrangements to stay elsewhere, but they didn’t seem to get that. Unfortunately having been to this property several times in the past, I can safely say that I am never ever going back.

Only good thing about the hotel is location.

Property is very poorly maintained.Bathrooms are old and small. Toiletries were missing.

    7JeffPosted on: 4-6-2025

The location of this hotel is VERY good, 1 block from the Rambla, close to shopping, close to the airport and the old city. I walked around at night and never felt unsafe, not once. Staff at the hotel were always super friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace was a cool place to chill out. The breakfast was good and the ladies that ran the breakfast were very nice also. My room was bit outdated but was ok.

The hotel in general needs a lot of renovations as it's really very old.The toilet smell as soon as you get in the hotel it's bad, as well in the room. Now what is the point to put a kettle, cup tea spoon when you don't put at least 2 sachet of coffee, 2 teas, 2 milk and 4 sugars!!! We been in many hotels and resorts all of them have that abd a box of tissues. Our 1st night was a disaster as an alarm next to the lift next to my daughter's and our room went off at 2:35am for long time enough to wake up the whole hotel abd then at 4:35am.We couldn't believe it!! Very disturbing!

*As I mention before the toilet smell at the entrance of the hotel and in the room. *Not enough cloth hangers (only 2) I went to ask for extras*The bathroom have very limited space for toiletries.* The sliding door needs definitely to be fix as does not slide easily at all, its extremely heavy.

The staff were absolutely great! They’re the outstanding of the place.

The room was very small for three people. Furthermore, there was a leak in one wall and the air conditioning, although working, was not working properly and had a very bad smell when the temperature was above 23º. The shower cubicle was ridiculously small, even for me, a short and thin person.

    7BrunoPosted on: 3-1-2025

Great location, spacious room, very quiet rooms

The rooms are dated and with few outlets, some renovation is way overdue, pricey for what it offers

    Location and staff

Wi-Fi was not working well for me

    1ValbonaPosted on: 2-2-2025

I’m very disappointed because it wasn’t like in a picture that’s why I I make a reservation I thought it was like in the picture they give us the worst room the small room. The bed was very small. The room was very, very small if I knew I never make a reservation on this hotel.

I don’t like the twin beats. We are adult. We are not child. It was very uncomfortable, I never see in other things. The room was very small and the view. It was horrible. I see another building on the front of my window. That’s worse.

    8OpachevskyPosted on: 1-27-2025

Only one elevator, very old and suspicious, each ride you are praying to reach your desired floor.

    10GonzaloPosted on: 1-17-2025

I loved the Location. close to the beach, shopping malls, restaurants, bus stops

nothing, the place is exact what i was looking for

    7Francodonatti24Posted on: 1-15-2025

The location is amazing and the area is quiet and has supermarkets/transport/attractions nearby.

There's only one elevator, and there are no places for smokers (you have to go to the street)

    5KlaraPosted on: 1-10-2025

The location is great. Reception area is welcoming.

The rooms and bathrooms are old and run down. Microwave did not work. There is 1 small lift for … 10 floors. So you can end up waiting for a while.

    10LilianaPosted on: 11-4-2024

Location is fantastic ... in the heart of Pocitos ... 100 metres from the Rambla and the beach. You are close to the old city and can catch a bus to go there as well as to Carrasco (the other main residential area of Montevideo). The price-quality ratio of the Punta Trouville is very good.
