Pros +
- Friendly staff, very good breakfast, funny hotel with lovely waterland.
- Exceptional
- The decoration is really good, it transmits calm. Everything is very clean, from the pools to the rooms. There are plenty of things to do inside the hotel. The food was quite good also, they have menu for the children and they liked it. The towels from the room can be used for the pools and can be changed if requested in reception.
Cons -
- Guest rooms are extremely minimal and closer in standard to a basic budget hotel. No kettle or in-room coffee/tea-making facilities are provided. No minibar is available in the rooms. The changing rooms lack swimsuit dryers.Overall, you miss the pampering feel that an hotel of that price should offer
- The room could be clearer. The light from the window was too low during this time of the year. Would help if the main light bulb was brighter.
- The big queue to check in when arriving at the same time than everyone from the ferry. It took around 25 min waiting.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Brilliant staff that made my kids very excited to be there. Immaculate hotel which is super clean and tidy. Cannot fault. The water park is the icing on a very tasty cake!
Nothing. All very good.
The hotel was great, especially since it had a water park and all kinds of entertainment. The hotel had everything we needed, the breakfast buffet was great. The staff was nice and the service was great. The location was great. We will choose this hotel again and recommend it to everyone.
There was no minibar or electric kettle in the room so you had to pay for tea or coffee or drinks.
The breakfast was excellent. Very good spread. The location is perfect because it is not too far from the Ferry. There is nothing much to do in Fredrikshavn and so the water park inside the hotel is a saving grace. You can explore a bit around or then take the train and head out. The dinner was good as well, a little pricy but overall a good experience.
The room that we were in, had a faulty ventilation system. It was insanely hot because it was summer ofcourse. This ruined the whole experience. After enjoying the whole day in the pool and then the food and everything all you need is a good nights sleep, and that is something we did not get and so all the good stuff during the day was undone.Unfortunately all the hotel had to say was "Good you informed us we will tell the technical team to have a look". An apology would've gone a long way.
This is a big hotel in the downtown area of Frederikshavn, a stone's throw from the ferry terminal and the naval port. I had a decent-sized room, a good breakfast and the staff was very friendly.
The decor is a bit quirky, with a distinctly nautical theme. I was there for work out-of-season, but I think it is more holiday-oriented than intended for business travellers. It's fine, but know what to expect.
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location and clean room
1) The Pool areas is a dream for parents and kids... The photos only show 20% of the dream, you're about the enjoy.2) Breakfast is a solid 8/10!3) Staff leave you alone.4) The Arab (or was he Turkish?) barman is an absolute legend and lets you take the drinks to the outdoor hottub.
It should be closer to Copenhagen. And there should be one in every city on earth!
The breakfast was good.
The pool (the main feature of this hotel) was closed the whole week due to a rat problem. This was only communicated beforehand to a few VIP guests. Even when we checked in it was not disclosed (we knew by then from others staying in the hotel). We were offered a 20% discount which we accepted.
The Water world was just fantastic, and the breakfast was amazing.
Lacking towels in the Water park, and the pillows were quite small.
Fancy and nice. The Reef Pool was amazing (with a cool slide, bar and resturant inside). They had a cinema (that we did not try). The room was big.The breakfast was amazing.
The room was to hot. They had to fans we used, but still, it was very warm. The bunk bed tiped in against the wall if a person is to close to the wall.Had to pay for parking.
Nice, really good family rooms!
Super kids friendly, great breakfast regarding healthy lifestyle. Great bar and restaurant. Beautiful water park.
Overpriced and best avoided
Upon entering this Danish hotel, you are immediately assailed by a humid, chlorinated smell, more reminiscent of a public swimming pool than a high-end hotel. The reception, quick to charge you for your entire stay, eagerly offers you an upgrade to renovated rooms, explaining that the images seen on Booking do not match reality.Digital bureaucracy then takes over with the mandatory use of QR codes, necessary to reserve your slot for breakfast (a fixed slot every 30 minutes) and to request room cleaning, which, under the guise of environmental protection, is not done automatically. The Wi-Fi is not secure. The elevator threatens to snatch your suitcase, and you navigate through a garishly colored hallway, decorated with a tasteless carpet meant to evoke the sea.The “renovated” room fails to meet expectations: the bathroom fixtures are scattered around the room, the shower seals are moldy, the door handle is wobbly, and the toilet seat is unstable. The children's beds resemble those on a 90’s ferry, and a stained curtain, along with an outdated fan (containing actual dead flies), completes the scene. Compared to the charm of Danish design we encountered in previous stages of our trip, this hotel turns out to be a failed mix of garish aquatic center colors and ex-GDR furniture. The staff, visibly exhausted and disillusioned, provides little comfort. The breakfast, served in a shopping center cafeteria-like atmosphere, stands out for its lack of taste and flavor. I don't know who could possibly enjoy this industrial cuisine. In conclusion, the dissonance between the service, worthy of a two-star highway motel, and the astronomical price of €330 per night is striking. The photos and online reviews do not reflect reality at all. Absolutely to be avoided!
Rooms are nice and also the Area around you find shops and restaurants
The Parking is highly contolled and the Staff did not inform me, that is so strong, after bringing my luggage to the Room, I had a parking fine on the Parking of the Hotel. Please next time tell the Guest that they have to pu the Parking Card immedietly in the Car.
The adventure pool area was closed due to rats. This had not been communicated to us beforehand which would have enabled us to change venue (the pool area was the main driver for us). The staff handled it well on site but all in all it was not what we were expecting and at a minimum this should have been communicated beforehand!
It was a bad experience, when we arrived there was a rat in the pool and the pool was closed, the staff were not honest with the guests when they said that the next day the pool would also be closed. We chose the place because of the themed pool and had a pessimistic weekend.
The bathroom in our room was full of water on the floor when we took a shower.
The location and the staff. They tried their best to accommodate the customers despite the problem they had. However, a rat in the hotel is a big disgrace.
We went for a weekend to use the water park, however we ended up totally bored and unable to use the facilities due to the closure of the pool due to the sighting of a big rat!!!
Very convenient to ferry terminal. The staff were fantastic, and extremely accommodating. The hotel breakfast was great!
A lot of kids running around in the lobby, but that is to be expected in a hotel with a water park, I guess!
Breakfast, Water world
Bed, too much chemicals in the water world
