Central location, good breakfast, friendly staff

The hotel took reservation for parking, but each evening, upon return, parking was full, clearly too many permits were handed out, so had to look for street parking each night and move the car again each morning Rooms were fine but a bit dated

Location was ok.

Freezing cold room all night. Downgraded due to having a dog. Did not get informed although a rude night-portier claimed so. Did not pay for the dog as a «compensation»The room I got cost less than the petfee so I was screwed..Breakfast was kind of disappointing. For instance the herring was slimy/old. Bread was not fresh. Milk was non excistant. No fried eggs.

Breakfast was delicious and had many offerings.

We stayed two nights and liked everything. Lobby is lovely, rooms are good sized, breakfast was great!

This hotel was central to everything in Skara.

No milk or English teabags in the room and breakfast didn't have any English tea either. Disappointed with this. Tried the reception and no one was there even after ringing the bell twice.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Skara Stadshotell! From the moment I arrived, everything was amazing. The hotel’s location is perfect, right in the heart of Skara, making it easy to explore the town and nearby attractions. The rooms were clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with a perfect blend of old charm and modern comfort. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcome throughout my stay

The breakfast, while not quite as extensive as I had expected based on other reviews, still had all the essentials and some tasty options. It was a pleasant way to start the day, though I think there is room for a bit more variety to match the high praise it has received.

Location

We booked a superior room as it was our wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed to find that the room did not have a window to the outside, only inwards to the reception area. It was quite disturbing at 0630 when they started to rearrange to furniture in the recpetion area, dragging chaits etc. along the floor! Corridor also noisy when people walked past our room.

We booked the Junior Suite which turned out to be too dark for our taste. The reception quickly helped out and moved us to another Suite which was just in our taste! Great work!

Nice and quiet. Polite and friendly staff. Superb restaurant.

The temperature in the room. Cold.I missed written information in the room about serving hours for meals, password for local Wi-Fi, a pen and some sort of paper (note book, paper for letter- nothing avaiable!!). I had to use my own newspaper and find a pen in my luggage when writing down information from the reception by phone.

Breakfast was nice. Interior of the hotel in the reception area was done very nicely. Good parking area with electric charging possibilities. Clean area.

The room we stayed in was older and not really renovated much compared to what was done in the reception and lobby area. Gave two different atmospheres. And the pricing is on the higher side for such interior and age of the hotel/room.

Hotel is an easy walk from the bus station . Staff very friendly and helpfulGreat coffee!

The main area of the hotel was beautiful. The breakfast was good, the staff were friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable and free parking.

The style of our room was a little dated and felt a little claustrophobic because of the shape of the room (it was split into two different rooms).Hairdryer was not working.

The hotel has been renovated 2022, in a really nice way where some of the old features have been kept. New and fresh - but still the Statshotell. Staff were super friendly and very attentive.

The breakfast was good, but they were a bit understaffed which led to some waiting time for us.
