Quality Hotel River Station

Hotel in a great location in the centre of Draammen with bus & train travel close to the hotel, staff very helpful and great breakfast with ample choice.

The hotel is centrally located near the train station, and by the river with walking distances to bars and restaurants. The room was very nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a good variety with fruit, cereals vegetables, bread, egg & bacon etc.

I have two issues: 1) I came in the evening by car with some expensive but heavy luggage and I booked this hotel to get safe parking as they listed parking among their facilities on their booking.com profile. This was not correct, instead the receptionist explained that there were various possibilities for public and private parking nearby. I had to pay NOK 190 for parking the car in a open unguarded parking house overnight. It's obvious that a city with more than 100.000 people have parking spots, but just because these happen to be nearby the hotel does not make them a hotel facility. I see from the guest reviews that this has also been addressed previously, so the hotel administration is well aware of this, without correcting it. 2) They had also listed an a la carte restaurant among their facilities, but this had been closed every weekend since mid-november (I came second weekend in December). Nevertheless, when I arrived the breakfast area was packed with visitors that were being served christmas meals. The hotel guests however, were referred to restaurants in the area around the hotel. I had been driving for more than 9 hours and had to get up early next morning to drive a similar distance. So I looked forward to relax over a meal at the hotel restaurant and go to bed, not having to go out on the town. Services may of course be unavailable on a short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Apart from that, the information a hotel provides should be reliable and accurate. That was not the case.

Me and my 14 year old son went on a vacation to Norway for the first time. He loved the ambiance and the breakfast ( it's a huge selection for breakfast),staff were welcoming and very helpful. room is very clean and comfortable, need to mention the shower force and temperature is very relaxing. No Parking ( they mentioned ahead about it ) onsite is a little inconvenience, still paid parking is available next to it and free parking is few meters away.

No free parking. We had to pay 570 NOK :( also we had to leave earlier and unfortunately there was no option to have breakfast earlier or take away which would have been nice as we head to our ferry

We liked the location of the hotel (near to trainstation and also to the nature like the river or the forest). Our room was well-lit and no amenities were missing. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a huge assortment (including vegan, lactose-free as well as gluten-free products). We also had fun playing the games located in the hotel (esp. pinpoint and pool).

The staircase was dirty (coffee stains, dust, food leftovers)

Overall a very decent hotel with lively reception and bar, especially on a weekend night, when many other places are closed (or closed early). The location is quite good. The breakfast had a good variety of food, and a nice outside terrace to enjoy.

The room was spacious enough, but it had a roll-out 3rd bed prepared which we didn't need (only 2 people staying), and which obviously made the room feel smaller. The sound-proof of the room is terrible - I could hear each time somebody next-door was flushing the toilet.

Location and facilities

The bed was too small and soft. The room should have been cleaned with fresh towels supplied on a daily basis for my 3 nights stay.

Room was nice, staff was very kind and helpfull. Breakfast open untill 11 am.

From the moment I set foot in the hotel, the team was warm and welcoming, and that just set the tone for the entire stay. Even when I came down to get coffee early in the morning, they made time to ensure that I was comfortable and stayed on to chitchat with me for a few minutes.The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet; and it gave me a good night's rest. The breakfast had plenty of options to suit every palate, and the food was fresh and of excellent quality. The location of the hotel was just perfect for me, and it was just a short bus ride away from Gothenburg Central station. They are extending the tram services to pass near the hotel, and when that happens accessibility will improve even further.The hotel is located at the water's edge and near the pier for the local ferry.

Nothing much except that the settings for the aircon temperature were a bit temperamental.

The hotel is several minutes walking distance away from Drammen station. The room is spacious, clean and new. The staff are friendly and helpful. In addition, they provide very nice breakfast with a variety of food.

Attentive, polite and helpful staff. Nice room with a beautiful river view. Tasty breakfasts.

The reception is not working 24h/24h and 7days/7days. I came late at night as plan but there was nobody at the reception

Would have liked a kettle in my room similar to other hotels of this Quality.

Wonderful staff at reception and in the lobby area could not do enough to help, booking in was a breeze, rooms were great and comfortable, bed was also comfortable.We ate at the restaurant in the hotel The food was fabulous.Breakfast was second to none probably the best we have had in the last 14 days well worth staying here.

Coffee in the room was horrid but there were machines in the lobby.

Amazing! Wish I could have stayed longer and enjoy breakfast more but had to catch the airport train. Open up a bit earlier? the security at airport at Oslo was a nightmare!

the only suggestion is open breakfast earlier. there were a dozen people waiting to get in at the 6:30 opening time.
