Facing 9 de Julio Avenue with its neoclassical façade, Scala offers modern accommodations in the center of Buenos Aires. It features a free WiFi access and a 24-hour reception desk. Guests can unwind in the garden. Rooms at the Scala Hotel combine classical wooden furnishings with modern flat-screen TV and air conditioning. They all include well appointed bathrooms equipped with bathtub or shower. Guests can enjoy traditional Argentinian specialties and some international dishes at the restaurant of the hotel. The in-house bar serves drinks and local spirits until late in the evenings. - The friendly staff, ability to exchange dollars at a fair rate. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.
- Very big room, great location, great staff, particularly the night shift
Cons -
- Breakfast not included ... and it was very expensive for the quality: eggs were cold EVERY DAY. In the rooms no power outlet beside the bed. There was an outlet behind the bed but it was used for the lamps. I had to run an extension cord.
