This is quite a nice hotel in a very peculiar place in Norway—excellent staff, kind, and friendly. The room was a good size, including the bathroom. Breakfast was good, considering that it is closer to the style in the Nordics. Dinner was also included.

The bathroom needs a few fixes, nothing major, but it could help to improve the experience. The triangular desk is not good, extremely inconvenient. The dinner was a bit simple and could be improved in the offer.

Such a beautiful place, recepcion amazing, (was working a young girl on sunday night) the hallways looks like a beautiful ship, bedrooms comfortable, breakfast wonderfull with a lot of choices for everyone, recomended

Nice place to stay in the oldtown section of Grimstad. Good breakfast and dinner included. Parking not included but available close to the hotel. There is a 30 minute parking zone in front of the hotel so when you checkin they will direct you to the nearest pay parking lot. Friendly and helpful staff and hard working kitchen staff with a special thanks to the behind the scenes chef that prepares the evening meal.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of warm and cold foods, muesli and cereals and very good coffee. Couldn’t have been better. The hotel was super clean and the personnel extremely helpful. We had a wonderful stay and plan to stay here again.

I forgot that the diner buffet(excellent) and the breakfast buffet (also excellent) were included in the price. Important as I just survived the Easter weekend where most of Norway is closed for 4 days. (ha ha) I was able to buy a cold beer or 2 to go with dinner :) Nice view of the town from the dining room. Nice touch: the books in the room that were written by famous authors in Grimstad.

The indoor parking was extra, but the value of the delicious buffet meals included in the price made my stay a good deal.

Lovely crisp and clean room - compact but well-designed; also freshly refurbished and redecorated.All day tea and coffee in the light and airy dining area - and cake in the afternoon! The evening meal was also included and was good.Great location in the heart of Grimstad. I was given a room overlooking a quiet side street - away from the lobby area.I enjoyed my stay : )

The room was a little small, but worked well.

Location, staff, room, very good bed, modern but still cozy and traditional, the included meals and quality thereof. All in all a very pleasant experience

No air conditioning hence room too hot. Rooms in the old part of the hotel are noisy until 1am due to the nearby pub and niightclub. Mouldy silicon and grouting in shower and sink overflow not clean. No lounge area or bar in the hotel, and no restaurant in the hotel. This hotel used to have these facilities.Please return this hotel to its former glory!

-No information was given about the paying parking lot to which the hotel refers with an arrow. They have a camera in the lot, so it whould have been nice having been warned about the obligation to pay. We thought it was a parking for hotel guests. With a nice pricy ticket as a consequence.-Very cold welcome at the reception.-Although the hotel itself has quite a comfy atmosphere, the room was old and worn. The bathroom is small, old and had waste in the bin of the former guests.-This 'Scandic' hotel takes advantage of the lack of alternatives in Grimstad.

Perfect Location in the middle of town, walking distance to everything. Great breakfast buffet.

It was not possible to open the window in the smal room and it became very warm innside. The exitdoor were closed in the hall ☹️
