Nice staff. Beautiful building and great view.
It wasn’t clean. The stairs were dirty the stair railings were supposed to be white but they were actually blackish. The floor was stained and there was a package lying on the floor from a former customer. The doors in the corridor were stained. The sockets weren’t working properly.
The staff were great, very friendly and helpful
The hotel is a bit worn out, looks a bit dilapidated. The hot water ran out and there was a boiler or similar running till about 2 in the morning which I could hear. The bed wasnt comfortable but the sheets were clean and overall it was ok ish
The cooked breakfast was good, however the choice of cereal was poor and the lack of fruit let the whole thing down.
The room was cold, the window blind didn’t work. The toilet flush didn’t work properly. The battery in the coded lock needed replacing and the Wi-Fi was totally ineffectual. The man that ran the place totally on his own was extremely helpful and tried his best but he didn’t speak good English and was hard to understand. My overall impression was that it was very poor value for money, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Clean with good decor. The building itself is lovely and in a beautiful surrounding. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel but it wasn’t open at the time of our visit. It has the making of a great hotel. The member of staff we met was really helpful, kind and wanted to please. The communication was great before and after the stay.
The room was deluxe but had a broken bathroom window (not good in -6 weather conditions). The folding door from bathroom to bedroom was broken meaning we couldn’t partition the bathroom to help with the heat issue. The biscuits in the room were out of date. Off putting for whether we were going to get breakfast at the hotel (we chose not to)The bed was that creaky you couldn’t move without it effecting your partner. Heating was not on anywhere near enough, maybe a couple of hours in an evening. An issue for the time of year. Electric radiators were provided but limited in how efficient these are. We did feel for the price the basics were completelyMissed.
DO NOT BOOK THIS! Misleading...
Dirty room, dirty carpets in hall ways, rubbish piled up in bags. No food available I evenings despite restaurant and menu advertised online.
Nice location, very clean good size free car park. Country style hotel
Although the hotel was nice there was no restaurant available & no bar after 9pm. There is nothing in the close vicinity to get anything to eat or drink. It’s very remote, which in many ways is a good thing but you will have to travel to find a pub or restaurant that will serve food.
Location to friend’s wedding venue
It was not clean. Dead flies and spiders on window sills, carpets etc. Shower wasn’t clean either.
I liked it being out in the countryside. It was in a pleasant situation
The HALL is dilapidated and really not nice to look at should be replaced as it is a beautiful building and does detract from the surroundings. The walk to the rooms a bit on the unloved look but it was somewhere to sleep and it was peaceful.
Very basic but I guess that was reflected in the price
It was tired and dated, the area outside of the room was dirty and untidy
Some areas of the accommodation was dated but overall a really enjoyable stay, nice breakfast and great value. The host, Sivan, was brilliant, he is so friendly and keen to ensure we were happy and comfortable.
Avoid
I’m not usually one to leave reviews but avoid this hotel, I booked this for my partner as we were attending a wedding close by and when we arrived everything about the place was eerie. It feels very isolated and the abandoned hall opposite is very freaky. The rooms were very tired, basic and not very clean, the whole place needs a refresh. There was a gentleman that let us into our room and insisted on coming in to the room to show us around, something about it made us feel uneasy. My partner didn’t end up staying here as we felt very uncomfortable and put off by the whole experience, we paid for a new hotel instead.
Bad
Holes in carpets no hot water, shower didn't drain water out, radiator wired to a battery that didn't work was freezing We didn't stay it was that bad
We were provided with codes for the doors do be able to get in at any time
There were no directions to the rooms. We arrived after staff had left and had no ideas where to go to get to the room
Nothing unfortunately
It was unclean in all communal areasBathroom was somewhat of an eye opener with just a folding screen door Was only booked at the very last minute so did get some money knocked of which was a bonus but there was no restaurant to eat food so had to go back out and in the morning was only entitled to 1 breakfast so I asked it to be shared between me ans my partner in which the owners face was of disgust however he did bring 2 out
The location. The welcome on arival and the room itself.Breakfast was very good. full English, cereal, juices, tea, coffee toast basically anything you wanted.Shiver (attending) was very good and attentive.Breakfast room / bar area very good and modern but bar not openin the evening ... shame because there is a pool table in there.Got the feeling the place was under renovation
P{aid upfront and mentioned 2 people would be staying on Booking.com but told I'd only paid for 1 breakfast. and had to pay £12 extra for my partners breakfast. They didnt know where the nearest restaurants were for an evening meal. took 2 minutes to find a pub serving within a 3 minutes drive "BIRD IN NEST" which was very welcoming and had great food and beers. Will probably stay at the pubif visiting the area again.Entrance to the B&B was badly sign posted from the road and signage was not accurate. Would have missed the entrance drive if it had been dark when arriving.
Staff were very friendly, rooms were decent, pool table was a nice touch
Shower was luke warm. Had to ask for toilet roll. Listing said breakfast included but this was not the case
Great value for money, huge room, well kept and cleaned, very comfortable bed.
