Cons -
- Our room was small, wall paper stained with damp, coming away from the wall. Furniture very tired and few sockets, shabby but not chic
- The room, bed & duvet were small; the window opening was hampered by the blind making the room too warm and uncomfortable. We had to have dinner at 6.15pm due to a bus party arriving and prices were very expensive for the quality and choice
- This has little to do with the property itself but the train schedule is limited. Rent a car if you want explore the area past 7 pm.

The staff member that was on duty that night was lovely to deal with. He was the front desk and wait staff and was also there the next morning. The location was an ideal spot to rest for the night after getting off the ferry at Mallaig before travelling towards Glencoe the next dayThe view i got to see in the morning was lovely!
- The room was very basic and dated, but the was warm and was overall a pleasant stay
Very nice hotel. I had a ropm with a view.Location was excellent. Staff friendly and professional.Menu was good. Breakfast was okay
Basic breakfast because the season was close to an end..Not much option for vegetarian.
The view from the hotel room window is jaw dropping, vista of the Loch and mountain range
Limited on 0% alcohol drinks.
Staff (tuan) very polite and friendly. 10/10 for him And another reception gentleman very friendly. (However there was only 2 or 3 staff in total...who work in rotating shifts)Location is fabulous near to beach and train station
Dogs are charged at £20 per dog per night!! And my room wasnt cleaned once, whiIst I was there, and i stayed for 3 nights. They say this cost is due to extra cleaning. It was not staffed from 10pm till 7am (management/owners fault for not hiring anyone to work a night shift) Anyone can just walk into the hotel. I stayed for 3 nights and did not realise this until I had LOTS of issues with a noisy group of about 10 students, drunk, causing problems all night from 5pm on Christmas night until 1am in morning which spoilt my stay. No one to sort the issue out, after 10pm. So based on this I would not recommend. Surely you should not leave a hotel like this unstaffed due to health and safety of guests. I did complain in the morning and tuan was very apologetic, but it is not his rules. He just works there. I was going to book extra nights, but after the issues on my last night and realising the hotel isn't staffed at night, as a lone female traveller, I booked elsewhere
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was appalling and expensive at £15 with no option. You can't ask for just toast, cerial etc.. so Sausage was uncooked. Bacon look like anaemic microwave stuff. Eggs and beans ok. The place is soulless. Cold and not welcoming. Room was fine. Dinners ok for about £20 ish. It's a long way to Mallaig to walk. 4.5km.Great sea views from the room. There was zero Christmas spirit.
The location is beautiful
We felt it was overpriced for what was on offer! The room could be more comfortable the lighting needs attention either very bright or not enough… The food was good but the bar lacked a great deal of ambiance! Are the owners men? I felt it lacked a famine touch no paintings on the walls in the bar!
It’s a bit like an Indian faulty towers. Everyone was very friendly. Good off road parking for the motorbike.
Nothing. Cheap clean hotel.
Leaving
Reception , Lounge, Bar and toilets all freezing. Staff did not go out of the way to help or assist with our complaints. Our visit was a special birthday. Rooms were not what we expected no views, our friends window was a skylight. We did ask to be moved only to be told £30 extra a night. Hotel was quiet. Not many guests. No Room service . Towels and loo roll left in reception for you. We had to empty our own bins. Toilet was dirty as was shower tray. Possible we expected too much for what we paid. In defence we were out of season but that was not reflected in the price.
The view from our room was stunning- we were delighted to be upgraded to a sea view room as it was out of season. The room was very cosy- you were able to adjust the heating to whatever you liked. Modern bathroom. Excellent cooked breakfast.
Breakfast finished at 9.30, which was slightly early for me at the weekend.
The staff were excellent.
My bed could have been a little better (room 27-bed adjacent to the bathroom)
Outstanding customer service.Hotel clean throughout.Good choice at breakfast and dinner excellent.
We had a bit of an adventure reaching our destination however the Morar Hotel was great when we arrived. Rooms were small but comfy. The restaurant had a great view and the food was good.Breakfast was excellent and staff very attentive.
Morar was a destination and not much around to see or do - however we went for a great local walk in the evening.Hotel had coffee to go in the morning - Yaaah!
An older style hotel in a quiet location with great sunset views. A lovely elegant lounge to relax in with a coffee or after dinner drink. My single room was small but had all mod cons and a great view over the water. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful with a few requests I had. Worth booking in for dinner and my salmon was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented- not just pub food.
The stairs may not suit people with mobility problems but I had no difficulty.
Bad
Don't go to toilet if over 5ft tall as you hit your head on roof.room 28.how did this pass health and safety.
Very poor
Room was poorly decorated and maintained and cheaply furnished. Wardrobe was broken. Carpet and chair stained, stains on the walls, skirting boards dirty, blood stain on sheet.
lovely views
no power at wall sockets all night unable to get a reply from staff via phone to reception or via the mobile number on reception desk.
