Pros +
- Great facilities and lovely room. Ate dinner which was good ( dogs not allowed in the Orangery restaurant but we had a table in the bar area which was fine).Plenty of parking on site( charges may apply)
- All the staff at the hotel and in the restaurant were lovely. Especially, the waiter, Bishan.
- Lovely room, great location, helpful service.
Cons -
- Thought the charge per night for 2 small dogs was quite high.
- We had an uncomfortable night, because we didn’t turn off the heating unit, and open the window; however, this was our own fault, and not the hotel’s.
- charging £12 a night for the carpark is frankly ridiculous - especially when it's possible to park for free around the common. Not a good look. Also charging for umbrella hire doesn't seem in keeping with the general luxury vibe. We've stayed in plenty of places where there is an honesty stack of umbrellas to borrow and return. Fortunately we had our own with us as it rained the whole time we were there!

Excellent location and very comfortable room
Poor value for money given what we paid for the room they levied an extra parking charge plus a hefty charge for breakfast - bringing the total cost to around £300 for a one night stay. Also at these prices I wouldn’t expect to serve myself from a buffet at breakfast!
All the staff we encountered were professional, friendly and helpful. Ample car parking space, blue badge parking right outside the door. The room was spotless, bed huge and super comfortable. Bathroom was large and walk in shower was spacious and powerful! Good selection of teas and coffee in the room. Downstairs was easy to navigate using a wheelchair. Wimbledon village was only a short distance. Excellent location
I'm really nit picking here but the loo was really low.
Check in was smooth, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a bath (always a bonus), and the restaurant was lovely.
I got sent A LOT of emails in advance of my stay, and it was so hot! As a permantently cold person, being hot takes some doing! But I didn't sleep all that well because the room was so hot, despite having a very comfortable bed.
Always reliable - great location and easy to get to etc. Home away from home
Breakfast is a little underwhelming given there are so many lovely cafes in Wimbledon Village.
I loved the house and the location. The staff were professional and helpful. Our suite for three nights was exceptionally good.
The deluxe double room which we had on night one of four. We had booked a first floor room as we have a dog but were put in a second floor room which was possibly at one of the furthest points from the front door. Not ideal if your dog needs to go out in the night. The room was cramped with very noisy water pipes which disturbed us throughout the night. We were upgraded to a first floor suite with very easy access to the entrance for the remaining three nights at a discounted rate. This suite was fabulous, with a beautiful view over the park, huge bed, gorgeous bathroom. Our last three nights were great. We loved it.
Lovely hotel in excellent location
Asked for early morning call.If it was made, neither of us heard it.
It was such a lovely stay rooms could do with a little up date but bed was very comfortable
The rooms were a bit hot
Staff were excellent - helpful and charming. The receptionist was a bit flaky but other staff stepped in immediately and helped out. Restaurant was good. Good parking. Breakfast delicious. The room was large and had a lovely view over the park.
The room smelt faintly of drains and it was far too hot overnight. I couldn’t open the windows and the temp couldn’t be changed - 22C is just too warm.
The dining room and the food at The Orangery was OUTSTANDING! We had a beautiful dining experience watching the doggies in the park playing while we ate delightful pasta!
Nothing, as the total experience at your hotel was pleasant.
Great location, lovely building and reception welcome.
Breakfast is mainly self service now
Enjoyed a delicious Full Englsh Breakfast in The Orangery looking out on The Park .Spotted a young fox iplaying in the front car park garden during the evening. . DELIGHTFUL
The Park View from my room was blocked by a HUGE tree. Disappointing.
Location
Booked for a private event, not mentioned when booking unable to cancel no access to bar or restaurant was told no room service available as too busy. Absolutely shocking service and attitude
Fabulous hotel in a great location. The staff were wonderful and our room was very comfortable. We found a great deal which meant that our excellent breakfasts were included. A great post-Christmas treat.
The architecture of he building, the decorations and the backyard. The staff in.the Italian restaurant were very friendly especially there were two staff, one is a female Poland and the male from Portugal. They were very friendly and helpful.
The blanket was bit old and uncomfortable.
We have stayed at Hotel du Vin many times and have always been impressed with the quality of hotels offered. The location is excellent-good transport links to central London. A bonus too that the hotel is dog friendly.
Please don't start turning into a chain which starts charging for simple 'add ons'( like many airline companies I could mention). An additional £12 for parking. An additional £25 for the dog. This really cheapens your otherwise perfect brand.
Did not have breakfast, just coffee , we asked if there were any croissants and our lovely waiter provided them for free
Location is about 15 minutes walk to the upper village, as it rained during our stay the mainly unsurfaced footpath to the village was very mucky and wet. It badly needs to be surfaced.
it was a long way to travel to see friends, repeat customers we love the venue, used to live in Wimbledon very nostalgic. One staff member young man with hearing aid was wonderful kind an helpful.
We were visiting from NZ and wanted to organise an area for 26 pax drinks bar manager declined reservation, disappointing we spend over a thousand pounds bar tab regardless.
