Nothing. My car was stolen from the car park
My car was stolen. Unsecured carpark
Fantastic staff, food and location
The attic room, we couldn’t stand up in the bathroom, no anti slip mat in the bath . Windows permanently locked so unable to get fresh air. What a pity because the hotel and its staff and the location was fabulous
Everything was great apart from the parking
I have just been fined for parking my car on the hotel car park and not being advised that you had to input your registration somewhere The hotel description says Free Private Parking if that is not the case we should have been advised. Not expected to look for signs when both the hotel and car park were full of people waiting for taxis to go to the races
Location, breakfast
Pillows too large
Large and comfortable. It’s our second visit. Helpful staff. Lovely bedroomGood leisure facilities
The hairdryers had been replaced since our last visit so Thankyou. However the shower and shampoo containers in the changing rooms were too difficult to get anything out of them! They are a very poor design and some of them were empty. I did mention this problem after my previous visit .
Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Really felt they where invested in making sure we enjoyed our time in the hotel. Breakfast was brilliant, very tasty. ? Getting private hire cab absolutely no problem. Bar staff brilliant when we were a little late ordering dinner and no tables available in the the restaurant. Gave us the full menu and let us order from the the bar, thank you. Overall a fabulous stay for a family party.
Not a thing. Was a brilliant stay.
Unfortunately there was nothing great about the place
On first impressions driving into an industrial estate we was faced with an in need of a paint outside hotel. We entered and went to reception and got our keys. On entering the room we found a hair in the bathroom sink. The tap sprayed in different directions. The toilet didn't flush. The pillows on the bed were so uncomfortable and awful. We went to reception and was told we couldn't move room until the following morning. Consequently we was expected to put up with the room allocated. We booked breakfast the following day and my wife found a hair in her fried egg. We left our breakfast and said we didn't want it the following day and they said.sorry but we won't refund you.On our return home I phoned best western customer services to complain. I was offered £60 compensation which just covered the breakfast we didn't have for 2 days. I'm still waiting for this and to get it you have to give them an international account number for your bank account.Best Western Premier Resort and spa sounds good but it's far from it.
The staff are friendly and polite. Rooms are comfortable and seemed pretty clean with fresh bed linen. I had a suite with a bedroom and living room area with a TV in each. Kettle with tea and coffee and decent size mugs and glasses. Nice to have a swimming pool, steam room and sauna accessible till 9.30pm which apart from one jacuzzi not working it was all good. Didn't access the spa facilities but pictures look nice.I had a generally comfortable stay here but wouldn't stay again.
Although room was comfortable, decor is all a bit brown and beige, a couple of lighting fixtures weren't working and both TV remotes needed new batteries(got one fresh set from reception but only realised after that the other remote also dead but only needed the one) the bathroom tap had a weird filter on it that made water spray in a fan and splash everywhere. The bath tap dripped and the filter on it looked dirty. Went to the restaurant on the first night but the food, although edible and I ate it, was really mediocre Couldn't bring myself to go the second night and didn't go to the breakfast either. I feel this hotel really scrapes it's 4 star rating because it has a pool but it's really more a 3 star reality. It all feels a bit soulless and lonely businessmen and in need of an overhaul. The location is not in anyway scenic or near anywhere if you want to go elsewhere to eat apart from another hotel nearby.A taxi driver dropping me back asked if migrants were still in the hotel and I said I'd seen no sign of that and wasn't aware of the history of it but explains a lot.
Large room, plenty of space, good breakfast, nice to have use of the pool. Great location for the purpose of our stay
The toilet didn’t flush properly and the water from the tap in the bathroom was faulty but other than that I liked everything else.
Easy location by the motorway; plenty of parking; easy check in; very spacious and well-equipped rooms; good basic leisure/fitness facilities
Food in the restaurant not very appealing or appetising; the restaurant lacked any atmosphere in the evening
My room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable. Accessible parking. Easy access to the motorway.
Didn’t realise the location was in an industrial area, no recreational facilities close by. Your restaurant kitchen was so overloaded on Saturday evening, they stopped taking orders. I waited 30mins and gave up, didn’t have dinner.
The room was very spacious which we weren't expecting. Having a separate living room and bathroom was lovely. The food in the evening was lovley.
Breakfast wasn't as much choice as you normally find in hotels (for example only fried egg no scrambled) and the hot food was always low, we had to ask both mornings for sausage and mushrooms to be filled up. The breakfast was lovely though, just not as much choice as you would expect for £15 each.
The room was spacious and bed reasonably comfortable. Nice to have a gym which was quite well equipped.
No lift so I had to lug my suitcase up 4 floors (reception told me there weren't many steps, but 4 floors is 4 floors!). Tap running into the bath all night. Signs all over the room telling me not to steal things. Only half a loo roll provided, and one tissue in the box. Shower veered between effective and a dribble. Bath gritty. It all smacks of saving money (eg no water provided in the gym) and I understand the hotel has quite a big turnaround to do - evidenced by the 'emergency maintenance' check list hung over the door handle - but these sorts of signs of frugality don't help the guest experience.
Fitness center very good.
very poor restaurant, with kitchen closing at 8.30 pm. Breakfast ending at 9.30 am. Very old furniture in the rooms.
Rooms Cleanliness Staff very pleasant and helpful
No lifts working
The bed was comfy. The room had a nice layout. Access to spa.
The jacuzzi bath that I had purposefully chosen the room for was broken. We had no hot water. There were holes in the walls. Not the kind of hotel that you should spend £200 on. I was very satisfied when I went with the cheaper room which seemed to be better than the room that I got this time.
