- Room and furniture were very tired. Pillows were old and lumpy. Windows were mouldy. Bed was horrible.
- The room was across a flooded car park. The room was claustrophobic and over hot even with windows open. It all seemed a bit ‘tired’ and in need of an update.

Room and furniture were very tired. Pillows were old and lumpy. Windows were mouldy. Bed was horrible.
Staff were great
The room was across a flooded car park. The room was claustrophobic and over hot even with windows open. It all seemed a bit ‘tired’ and in need of an update.
We loved the characterful room across the courtyard to the Inn. The dining room was lovely for both dinner and breakfast.Evening meal was delicious and relaxed.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Fabulous room and bathroom. Check in really easy. Parking a bit tight but staff were excellent, easy to find just follow your nose, not difficult at all.. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Great bar and food was excellent
The pub is ideally located in Oakham town centre. The rooms have recently been tastefully upgraded. The dining and bar areas are comfortable with open fires. All staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. There was an interesting breakfast menu and portions were very generous.
It was difficult to find the car park without specific instructions and post code from the pub staff. Whilst the room was very comfortable, the door didn't feel very secure and you felt somewhat exposed to people looking in and so it was necessary to have the curtains closed the whole time.
Cosy rooms, lovely white sheets, great bathroom. Friendly staff. Food is excellent. Usually have the fish, both dinner and brekkie!
Open Fires, good food and staff
Pillows and mattresses were old and not very comfortable.
Lovely building and interior was in keeping.
A little bit run down, maintainance needs stepping up. At times it was a little chilly.
Saturday staff a bit arsy but breakfast Sunday good.
Staff saturday entitled
Food and drink very good. Location good.
Bedroom was very average
Great location, friendly staff and good atmosphere.
A little noisy at times.
Our room was lovely and warm. Very comfy and spacious. Great room.
Good breakfast and nice pub, bed room was well heated and clean
Bath room was cold due to the heated towel rail not warming up properly and old windows. No fruit at breakfast, and the worn out carpet on the stairs to our room was untidy.
Great location and nice bar and restaurant.Dinner and Breakfast was superb.Staff service and attitudes variable in bar but serving staff really good both dinner and breakfast.
Car Park was tricky to find … room was chilly as Radiator needed bleeding so got screwdriver from car and bled radiator … radiator in bathroom didn’t work at all but main one, once bled was sufficient
Location was good. Staff was friendly.
Bed uncomfortable. Radiotor in bathroom leaked. Very expensive.
Good location. Friendly staff Great Breakfast
Only complaint we couldn't get on the carpark It was a Sunday lunch though we parked elsewhere until the rush was over.
Delicious breakfast as always, and the room was warm and comfy and had a good shower.
Everything was great, lovely little pub to stay at
Lovely period property with the rooms in character with the building, it was clean with quality bedding and condiments, breakfast was also a highlight. Not a dealbreaker, but the TV worked and it was big enough to see, and there was parking on site. The pub was also lovely inside with a great choice of food and drinks and a cosy atmosphere.
It was all great.
