    Pros +

    • The staff were amazing and the location can?t be beat!
    • Our room was really lovely. We had everything you could ever want. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of tea, coffee and milk. The heating in the room was instantly controllable and very efficient. The shower was great. We had a small bistro table and chairs and dressing table and chairs too. The room was very spacious despite all the facilities and furniture. The Breakfast was brilliant. It was a buffet style breakfast with absolutely everything and plenty of it. The waiting staff were wonderful.
    • The rooms were wonderful, the staff super helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was stunning. I’ve never had such a comfortable bed, and the extra blankets and amenities in the room were lovely and very welcome.

    Cons -

    • The hotel had everything including a restaurant and bar. This was one of my reasons for booking this hotel. Unfortunately we were told the restaurant and bar were closed to us, due to a private function. I thought this was a bit off. It didn't really spoil our stay as there are lots of nearby pubs, takeaways and restaurants: but it was a shame. After such a wonderful breakfast we were hoping to use the restaurant again.
    • I had to kill a big spider in my bathroom (I am severely arachnophobic), the bathroom door in my mother’s room wouldn’t close because the bed was in the way (?!), and I burned my finger with the barest of accidental touches on the breakfast area.
    • Dinner was not served because of an event, which made sense and we weren’t upset.

Breakfast was amazing. Staff was responsive and incredible. Breakfast was spectacular and included.

Dinner was not served because of an event, which made sense and we weren’t upset.

Nice staff, comfortable bed, nice breakfast

My room (key 10) was horrible. Cramped and shabby - looks like it hasn't been touched in years. The bathroom is really dated. Seriously, for £120, I expected more. Will not book here again.

Breakfast buffet and dining area very good

Room small, very basic and dated

The location is excellent - right in the town centre, just a short walk from the train station, beach, pubs, and restaurants. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent, though a bit on the greasy side.

The room was very small and in poor condition. Most of the furniture and fixtures appeared to be from the 1990s and hadn’t aged well. There was a dusty, ineffective fan, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable - likely due to its age. While the linens looked clean, they were clearly well past their prime. Most frustratingly, the listing suggested there was an ensuite bathroom, but there wasn’t. I had to use an external bathroom down the hall, which I only discovered after checking in.

Carys was very helpful finding another room for us.

Going downstairs to the lobby and finding three people asleep on the two couches.

Room was very clean and we had a nice view of the city but none of the rooms have water views. The breakfast was exceptional with a full hot English style breakfast.

The only complaint is that the room we had which is number 32 had a bathroom seat that would not stay up and that of course is annoying.

Room was too hot. And my headphones disappeared from my room

    5AlexanderPosted on: 4-22-2025

The loacation was great being a couple mins walk to the beach and in the center.

The bed and fold out bed were not comfortable. The parking was not onsite but street parking. The breakfast was not good.

    6AmandaPosted on: 4-21-2025

Real fast and location were excellent. Cleanliness of room let it down. Sweets and rubbish left on the floor from previous guests

    Cleanliness of the room

Location was perfect. Size of the family room was brilliant and we weren't expecting a jacuzzi bathtub so that was great.

Everything is a bit dated and needs a lick of paint. It does need a deep clean as there was thick dust in places. The bin in the bedroom, although it had a fresh liner in it, it looked like it had never been cleaned. Floorboards in the family room were very creaky when walking. Having a 4 year old with us meant we had a complaint from the family underneath about the noise as he was excited and running a lot.

    Pleasant staff

Couldn't get out of the car park when we were ready to leave due to being blocked in. Hairdryer and radiator in the bathroom not working.

Breakfast was good but no pastries

Smell of carpet. If you have heavy bags there is no lift

    6NatashaPosted on: 4-18-2025

The location of the hotel is lovely, near all amenities that you require. The parking for the hotel is poor we circled for near enough an hour before finding somewhere to park. The hotel decor is dated but room was comfortable, although there were no sufficient sized towels provided if needing a shower or bath. The double bed was 2 singles pushed together and the room and bathroom housed many cobwebs. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on that but was asked on arrival about breakfast which was an extra £10 each on top of the cost of the room.
