    Pros +

    • Clean well maintained and friendly staff
    • Lovely setting, and wonderful first impressions driving up to the hotel. Staff were professional and friendly although it did seem at times only one person was covering the reception and bar, so wait times to be served were longer than would have been expected, but, no big problem as here to relax anyway!Room was wonderful, clean, comfortable with great views and usual tea/coffee, and some nice home made biscuits waiting for us.Dinner was very good as was breakfast.Would certainly return.
    • Beautiful setting, lovely dining room , lounge and bar , excellent service, food and drinks

    Cons -

    • The lift was slow and I was up 3 flights of stairs That aside it wasn't a problem
    • Rooms were dated , no pressure in shower and four poster bed made with low metal poles , rooms need updating.
    • Nothing really.

Staff were lovely very attentive, food was excellent surroundings were beautiful. Our room was a large double, a little tired but we were satisfied for one night. The bed was comfortable and pillows wonderful.

    Nothing really.

Lovely room lovely setting and good bar and restaurant. Delightful staff

Abysmal tv reception. Unusable. Wi-Fi in room not great. These days there’s no excuse. Powerful systems are cheap and this hotel needs an upgrade.

The staff were very helpful and cheerful. The food was very good.

It was cold in our bedroom when we arrived and we were given an extra heater.

The location hidden in a valley was something else. Although only a mile from town, you felt that you were far away from civilisation. Everyone was so friendly. Can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful hotel in my former hometown. Great food and friendly staff.

    Nothing. It’s fabulous.

It was very lovely and it was like stepping back into the 1920s. We liked that background music was not modern but old it went with the building. Staff were all welcoming and friendly. Food was amazing.

The bedroom we had the bath was too small and the heating in the bedroom wasn’t easy to alter was a bit chilly. Also the hot water took ages to come through which was explained but you do feel you are wasting a lot of water waiting for it to get hot.
