Pros +
- Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is well appointed and newly decorated. Ironically, it was a tranquil place in some very busy days.
- Great location, have stayed before
- Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food. Great location.
Cons -
- Major cause of disatisfaction was the kitchen being closed. So no meals! The bar had coffee and that should have been presented as a good option at least. It would have taken very little to provide a continental breakfast. Brains, new oweners responsible.
- There is no longer any car park facilities at the back of the pub for hotel guests
- TV in room kept switching it self off.

TV kept switching it self off in the room.
Staff & the location , great bar. Lovely harbour position
Small bathroomNoisy at night with people going in& out of their rooms in the night
First class breakfast served by a very enthusiastic and efficient young lady.
Unfortunately, the family room is situated directly above noisy extraction fans which plate throughout the night.
Amazing location, friendly staff, fantastic food and our room was big and comfortable. Very reasonable for the quality of service - would definitely visit again.
friendly staff, wonderful location, clean and peaceful rooms
Beds were super comfy and the room was spacious. Shower was powerful. Even though didn't book a sea view we could see the sea.
En-suite was a little small.
Lovely hotel, stayed a few times only tip u could give was more coffee/ tea/ sugar as after a tea on the night there was nothing to have one in the morning and downstairs wasn’t open u till after I was leaving so couldn’t get any more , Barr that it’s a great hotel, great staff
Big, clean room with sea view. Excellent value for money?
The property overlooks the coast so it's a great location and a very nice view to enjoy whilst having a drink and a nice meal. The room was a good size and very clean. The bed and pillows and duvet was very comfortable and towels were provided and hand wash and shower gel too.Tea coffee facilities are included in the room price and our room was serviced every day.All of the staff were very nice and the pub has a friendly atmosphere. No noise from the bar at night so it's easy to relax in the room and to get to sleep.
Awesome location, breakfast was cooked fresh and great variety. Room was spacious and very clean. Colin & Gemma made me feel really welcome & looked after me during my stay
I ordered the Sunday lunch for my evening meal. Chicken was dry, yorkshire pudding was hard, couldn't put my knife or fork through it and veg was hard. I must say the food is normally stunning so was very surprised by this.
The room layout was excellent. Bath and shower facilities. Clean and well presented room
It was great
The location was great . Beautiful beach and shops.such a lovely holiday town .
Hotel penwig has a lovely location right on sea front . When we booked in the staff member was welcoming . We went to our room which was very basic and tired. We had to ask for more tea and sugar . The bed was extremely uncomfortable my husband and I left the hotel after two nights feeling shattered due to lack of sleep. The food at the hotel was typical pub food and was mediocar. I have wanted to stay there for years and finally have but left very disappointed ?
Breakfast was good The location was excellent Our accomodation was unsatisfactory because the bedroom and ensuite was down stairs and lounge, master bedroom and tea making equipment upstairs which meant you had to remember to fill the kettle downstairs as there was no water upstairs Also my husband is disabled and there was no parking available at the hotel inspite of there being plenty of parking spaces available at the rear of the hotel We were not offered a space and had to find parking in the town We were told the spaces at the hotel were for staff but the two days we were there these were unused!
Parking for disabled customers
I was in a room level with the kitchen roof fans which are loud. I was assured by staff they would be switched off at the end of food service and they were so despite my worries did get a good sleep although was woken promptly when prep for breakfast started which was ok for me as needed to get going early. Otherwise a comfortable room for a reasonable price.
Very clean, and excellent locationRoom was a bit small
The location was great views amazing
Parking was an issue did eventually park outside but I would imagine in the summer months it will be impossible
Location is excellent, harbour side. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Large pay carpark nearby.Very good pub food.
