Banff Springs Hotel

The staff is very accommodating and responds quickly. The food was very good at the restaurant.

The food was very enjoyable. I had an evening meal and breakfast.

The room was comfortable but there was some hair in the sink on arrival. The room was also very hot and the temperature dial was not initially seen as it was behind the curtain so not visible however, that was me who didnt spot it.

Great location, clean and comfortable and the food in the restaurant was ace!

breakfast was truly scrumptious, buffet breakfast then a hot Scottish was a little pricey but that's because I booked via booking .com if I had booked direct it would have been included in price. room was perfect for my needs . I was there attending a function. The meal was gorgeous except someone in party took wrong meal (mine) so I ended up with theirs but it was still gorgeous and not the hotels fault. Hotel serves a real ale at the bar that tastes like an export 80 schillings

Very lovely place cleanness very good the room was clean mattress not so radiator was ticking away but have have stayed twice and I would go back in a heart beat so overall was well impressed

Very good breakfasts tho service sometimes rather slow probably due to holiday season. Staff went out of their way to assist and find suitable room because I had mobility problems

The noise from boiler or machinery outside vibrating. Mattress was lumpy and not comfy.

The staff were absolutely brilliant. Very organised, friendly, and attentive. The menu choice in the restaurant was extensive and very tasty. Great value for money all round. Would highly recommend.

The bed was large, the shower was good

Wasnt part of the hotel it was an annex with 4 rooms and you had to walk past the bubble and round side of building. Some of the furniture was worn .It was noisy with being families and we used the bar it was nice but for the cost room only you would expect to be in the main hotel. It rained on day of check out meaning rather than come from room to reception then out with bags we had to trapse outside aroind the building to reception hand in keys then back out to yhe rain with bags, being in the annex (executive block)wasnt nice.

All staff are to be commended, they were all first class.Extensive menu options.Breakfast cooked to order.

The bedroom was small.Not enough electrical sockets. l prefer lamp, hairdryer and kettle to have their own plug then I don’t have change them around for phone, iPad etc.No shelf in the bathroom.

Location was good

For a 4star hotel bedroom was quite basic , no shelf or tumblers in the bathroom , lighting very dim.Card access to room didn’t work initially .

The staff were friendly & helpful with good advice about lesser known places to visit. The meals, we had both breakfast & dinner, were superb. I have a smaller appetite & was readily offered a half portion. The dining room enjoys wonderful sea views. Our room was spotless & comfortable.

I would have liked a softer pillow, to go with the very comfortable bed. Also, as an older person, I found the shower over the bath difficult to access.

Room size, lay out , very clean all above expectations. Food excellent. Beautifully appointed interior in hotel. Well trained attentive professional staff and management. stunning view North from the hotel.

Like most of the hotel rooms here we find them very small and cramped compared to Canada and US and also it’s common for there to be no elevators here it seems.

The staff members checking us in and serving in the restaurant were excellent. The view from our room was nice as it looked out over the coastline and lovely beach.

The room was very small. The bathroom didn't provide any spaces to put things. With no discernible source of fresh air we had to keep our window open. This resulted in road noise from passing vehicles. We felt it was a hotel designed for business travellers or short stay travellers. Cars parked right in front of the building instead of in the main parking area took away from the view.

Very accommodating & pleasant staff

Whist the single room was more than adequate ( with a generous single bed) it would have been nice to have had an opportunity to upgrade to a double for single occupancy. The room rate was substantially higher for a double.

When you are travelling on business, £15.95 for breakfast seems a bit steep. Would like an offer of a bacon roll and a tea for a reasonable price.
