Pros +
- Lots of space to relax in the common areas. Breakfast was very good and easy to access. Staff were ver pleasant.
- After an insane day and overnight flight and flat tire en route getting to ardor was glorious. Such a beautiful space full of history and there’s sheep and cows to say hi to!
- The old part of the building was nice and charming, The food was not amazing but OK. Staff was great, grounds where very nice. It was very quiet!
Cons -
- Some parts looked a little beaten down or partial renovations to washrooms 2020 sinks, 1980´s tiles, not a complaint just an observation. There was garbage and dishes in the hall on the way to my room.
- The shower was dirty on arrival, all the walls are scraped up and dirty, dinner at the bar was overcooked and weird combos of ingredients, and overall the whole state of the hotel wasn't that nice. They may need to do more training with staff or maybe even new management.

Great breakfast, nice pool and jacuzzi
There was nothing to dislike, the room, facilities, food and staff were absolutely brilliant. Definitely great value for money.
It was nice to have access to the pool and spa, and the bed was comfortable.

Perfect location with a countryside feeling and castle look
The whole old castle aspect of the hotel is fantastic … Loved our stayGood gin collection, nice pool / hot tub / Steak at dinner was great too

Ardoe House is a stunning baronial mansion in a beautiful, quiet setting, yet it's still very close to Aberdeen. Our room was spacious, clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay, enjoying the spa (swimming pool, sauna and hot tub) and would highly recommend it for a special getaway.
Its a luxury and elegant hotel, and they decided not to have a toilet brush at the bathroom.. weird
The larger room was very nice, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was attentive.
The room became stifling hot even with the windows open and a small fan on. A bigger fan may have helped, or some way to cool off the room.
The hotel is beautiful and we had such a spacious room. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the bar staff especially were keen to make you feel welcomed and up for a laugh. The breakfast was well presented and plenty options. We got some Irn Bru and a caramel wafer & crisps in the room which was a lovely touch.
They suddenly locked the outside door about midnight with people still outside so we had to find a guest to let us back in.
Beautiful sitting room, friendly staff. Lots of details and a wonderful breakfast.
Have to walk down stairs after going up stairs in elevator to get to my room at the end of a LONG hallway. With bags and suitcase. The drain in the shower worked, but was slow.
Excellent stay. Staff friendly throughout, room very comfortable and good quality breakfast
The actual building is lovely. The food was very good too.
I think the room we stayed in, could have done with a lick of paint. The walls were very scuffed.
Nice room with a large comfortable bed and good breakfast. The chef even made me an omelette on asking. We had a nice stay overall. Good Value for money.
The old house is lovely. We really enjoyed taking dinner in the side parlor. The spa was a nice touch and the massages were exceptional. The grounds are nice. And the room was large.
The rooms themselves were nothing special. Mainly we had one clerk who screwed up our taxi multiple times. We called for one on two separate days. Each time the order was screwed up and the clerk took zero accountability. The second screw up cost us about £20 because the taxi arrived 1/2 early and just ran the meter. Disappointing.
Our room was clean, relaxing, and quiet. All the things you'd like when retiring for the day.
Honestly, everything was as advertised and as expected. I would definitely stay here again.
We had both dinner and breakfast there and it was great as were the staff. Have stayed in the past and would stay in the future and recommend to clients who are traveling.
Booking didn't transfer into their system correctly so we got there and had to be given single king with roll away rather than 2 full beds requiring wait. Then had to switch rooms for night 2. Room for that night was full of ash from cigarettes like someone dumped ash tray upside down on couch with burn on couch and ashes left everywhere. Then went to check out and they insisted I needed to pay AGAIN for one of the nights. Staff was nice. Hotel very worn. Avoid.

The original part of the hotel was very nice. The rooms were nice as well.
The service was not very good. But to be fair, they had a bus off people come in all at once. Just bad timing on our part.
